Tempering my Raddysh expectations: Tampa had the 10th-most powerplay opportunities last year, with 246. The Leafs were dead last, with 49 less opportunities. With the Leafs perennially in the bottom 5 in PP opportunities, this will have an impact. It’s possible he doesn’t break 50 points.

Matthews is probably my favourite player, but I still think it was a mistake to take the C from Tavares. Dude does and says all the right things, is non-controversial, sets the right tone. I could understand the switch if you wanted a more fiery and combative leader but AM’s not that guy either.
