Completed a federal grant application today. Used all gender neutral pronouns, used words like, inclusive, diverse, at-risk, and community. My co-worker and I refuse to dim our light to allow hate and propaganda to shine brighter. We are who we are, we serve our whole community. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎🤍

This week, this MONTH, y’all, has been something out of a grown up’s life. Meetings, field trips, grant awards, grant proposals, presentations to adults, presentations to kids, ordering and then REordering. Successes, anxieties, failures, and picking myself up, dusting off, going again. We got this!

1. Watching = ratings. Turn him off. 2. The effort it takes to find an alternative to Amazon is worth it! 3. I am 45… apparently that’s old, but I’m 21, so I’m not sure how that maths out.

What are you doing next Friday? The correct answer is nothing. Do nothing. Make a plan, if possible, to stay home. All day. BLACKOUT FEB 28 Believe me, they are paying attention. Stay home. Spend nothing. Let’s do it! 💙✌🏼💙

Go to Apple Maps and help them out by reporting any misnamed places (bodies of water, mountains, etc). 🤷🏽‍♀️ looks like they let a toddler in there.

I’m listening to Rage Against the Machine and writing grants. I’m in the zone.

Also, can we all commit to checking our sources before we repost? - Do NOT fall into the trap of confirmation bias - If you see something you want to repost, check for two more sources of that information. Be a trusted source, not another clang in the echo chamber. We’re the smart ones!

HOPE IS A CHOICE! Yeah, there’s some crazy stuff going on. Yeah, human rights violations are being written on White House letterhead. Yeah, we recognize the patterns. You can curl up and wait for history to repeat, or you can be a freaking screeching monkey wrench in the wheel of hate 🔧

FALSE WIN: Releasing water stored in N. California to help put out the fires in S. California… because they’re that close? Because California is one big mountain and the millions of gallons will just flow there? The water will be needed for the Spring and Summer growing seasons. Oh, wait… 👨🏾‍🌾👩🏽‍🌾

You’re supposed to feel overwhelmed, stressed, defeated, and victimized. You’re supposed to feel alone in your anxiety. That’s the goal. An overwhelmed, shocked, and confused people will not resist. Stop trying to fight the war. Choose your battle; education, immigration, or DOGE and fight like hell

Is it archived anywhere? Is someone creating an alt resource? This is so scary as someone who works with youth in substance use/misuse prevention.

This is what the government did with 120K+ Japanese Americans in 1942. I know. I was there in those camps.

I’ve started this new thing… to avoid the doom scroll, I keep my hands busy with crochet. I keep myself from eating my stress and anxiety by creating something that brings joy. What are doing to keep yourself healthy? How are you maintaining your joy?

What are we doing here? I’m here for hope, compassion, empathetic listening, sharing of ideas, and growth opportunities. If that’s not what we’re doing- are we just smearing the poop from one wall to another?
