Due to all the storms in VA, I had go to the Keystone State to get a hike in. The 30 mile West Rim Trail traverses the the Pine Creek Gorge, aka PA Grand Canyon. I was able to get some really epic shots of the hike. Here are just a few. Full WRT Trail guide here: mlghikes.com/west-rim-tra...

Anyone else see this last night? Apparently this is called a moon halo. It happens when the moon's light is refracted by ice crystals in cirrus clouds. Luckily I was able to grab my camera and get a good shot before it disappeared. #astrophotography #moon #moonhalo

The famous Chapel Rock right at sunset. The lone pine perched atop is estimated to be 250 years old. After years of erosion, it's umbilical root system is the only thing that still connects it to the mainland. This one is a long exposure due to the lighting conditions. #hiking

These glowing rocks are called yooperlites. Packed with fluorescent sodalite, and found mostly on the shores of Lake Superior, these stones grow orange when exposed to UV Light. During my hike in the UP, I found a few right along the beaches. #hiking #picturedrocks #photography
