🌿 “Plant Medusa” — completed. Black tears of anger and sorrow. Wood and serpent quietly merge into a living presence. #sculpture #creaturedesign #processart

Clay sculpture of “Plant Medusa,” a creature fused with wood, moss, and serpents, shown from multiple angles on a workbench.
The surface is covered with layered moss, roots, and organic textures, with dark resin details around the face and tail.
Black tears flow from her eyes, giving her an expression that mixes sorrow and anger.
The sculpture has a weathered, tree-like body and a quiet, lifelike presence, as if it had rested deep in a forest for a long time.

🎨 Base painting of “Plant Medusa.” Soft tones and gradients settle into the bark texture, giving the form its first sense of life. Next, I’ll add moss and color powder to build the depth. #sculpture #creaturedesign #artprocess #medusa #artist

Base painting process of the sculpture “Plant Medusa.”
The surface shows layered brushwork that settles into the carved wood-like texture, creating the first sense of organic depth.
Subtle gradients of warm and cool tones define the bark structure while keeping the natural irregularities.
This stage sets the foundation for the following layers—moss, preserved plants, and color powder—which will add realism, age, and the feeling of a creature grown within the forest.
Hands and tools in the frame show the scale and craftsmanship behind the piece.

Sculpting the late stage of my “Plant Medusa.” The silhouette and movement are now locked in — the character finally starts to breathe. #sculpture #sculpting #creaturedesign #fantasyart #medusa

Clay sculpting of “Plant Medusa” in the late stage.
The silhouette is mostly established, and the posture, gesture, and flow of the upper body are being refined.
Wood-like textures and vine forms are beginning to wrap around the anatomy, following the natural muscle structure.
Serpent shapes are temporarily placed to evaluate the balance of the head silhouette.
The sculpture is still rough, but the presence and personality of the character are becoming clear.
