Stayed up way past my bedtime to capture the lunar eclipse. Clouds cleared up just enough to capture some great shots!

Update: The clouds cleared, but due to total unpreparedness, I could not get my telescoped aligned in time. But I did manually guide get this single shot (basic edits in light room) after Mars reappeared.

Ahh...back from a week long vacation at Disneyland World. Kids had a great time! No roadtrip is complete without a mission patch. Had to make sure to include everyone's name.

I found another EV charging station at Johnson Space Center. This one isn't limited to government vehicles and comes with solar! #driveonsunshine

The saying: "Being right at the wrong time is the same as being wrong" It's true at work but more so with kids. Me: hey, do you want to go to the park? 3yo: Noooooo. I. DON'T. WANT. TO GO TO. THE. PARK *stamps feet* 45 minutes later when making lunch 3yo: can we go to the park right now? Me:

Since Centerpoint decided to get rid of their outage tracker, why not just use the Whataburger app? Credit: BBQBrian on X #hurricaneberyl

Lost power. Powerwalls keeping the lights and AC running. Had a 55mph gust when power went out!

Checkout this custom shirt made by my wife! US rockets launching humans off US soil with two in orbit at the ISS right now. Happy fourth!

Getting yard work done when it "only" feels like 109degF outside. Drinking lots of fluids and taking frequent breaks in the AC. Stay cool out there. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are no joke!

The storm was intense, but so was the sunset.

Batteries saved the day for #ERCOT Just like a residential house where solar pairs so well with batteries, renewables, batteries, and demand reduction can work so well with each other.

Two solar eclipses in Texas in 6 months! I wanted to make a composite similar to the one I made in October.

It'll be a while before I get through all my #eclipse2024 pictures. I'm especially proud of this HDR composite. When the Sun meets the Moon

It's been 10 years, and across three different jobs at Johnson Space Center, but I'm happy to have supported the Flight Operations Flight Test Readiness Review for CST-100! I'm humbled to get a seat at the table with FOD management to assess this vehicle's readiness to fly!

The moon, so why not the sun? Taken today (with solar filter). Trying to get a feel for how this will work for the solar eclipse in April!

Clear skies and a holiday tomorrow meant that I finally got a chance to test out my new telescope. Astrophotography is tough, but I do love this picture of the moon I took tonight. Taken straight from the camera, no editing.
