it’s been a year now since my understanding of myself has been completely upended, which in turn, has made me so much stronger than i was before happy birthday, cedar

A photo of a tall plant with red flowers blooming from its peak and less on its side, taken on the side of a road.

i took part in a game jam and put out my first game in something like 8-9 years, and first time ever solo didn't post about it because i shipped it with a bug that turned it into an rngfest and was gonna wait until i finished patching it ...BUT THINGS HAVE CHANGED

The results for my game jam game, Carry The Flame. Out of 48 entrants, I placed 1st. I won in the Theme and Audio categories, and every other one is at least top 10. Scores are omitted, besides Overall, which is 3.970.

i bought five low spec laptops for dirt cheap before i learned what the gamemaker profiler was. one of these has 32gb of storage. another only has 1gb of ram. two of them cant even run directx 11.

An assortment of 5 laptops. One of them is a blindingly pink HP Stream (with 32GB storage.) Two of them are Acer Aspire Ones (neither can run DirectX 11,) one of them being about as tall as my hand (and has 1GB RAM.) Theres a silver HP laptop with an Athlon Silver processor, and a Toshiba Satellite that’s by far the largest in the pile.

i sorta wonder how much i want to pivot this account into being a dev-oriented one instead of just treating it like twitter 2. because it’s really not at all, and i think that’s one of the best things about it (alongside mastodon)

still working on this, on and off! here’s a progress report: yass queen clubstep monster

A screenshot of a level editor I’ve been working on. Built inside is a crude little monster, 5 tiles wide and 7 tiles tall, with spikes for teeth and ears. Its square eyes say “yass queen.”

A wide, wide assortment of plushies, mostly anime-related, scattered about my shelves. At the forefront, held on a plate (not pictured) for the photo, are the first wave of Umamusume plushies.

Finished a commission for @scooblee.bsky.social! I think it turned out really well! I did this same character way way long ago when I was first getting started doing commissions in this style. I resolved not to look at the old version until this one was done so I could compare.

Finished this sprite commission for @summerstarbun.bsky.social! The animation took a bit to come together on this one but I'm really happy with how it came out. I've done lots of lively bounces and I try not to get too formulaic with them!

oomf's oomf just got called out and they're saying "you shouldn't trust this doc" in denial because they don't wanna lose a friend and it's like i'm gonna hold your hand when i tell you this: you either lose one friend or you turn 10+ people against you for siding with a guy they dislike

i was the owner of mjncord at the times mentioned in the document. i admonish the behavior described here and i'm so sorry i looked past such a sex pest in the community i oversaw. i had no idea he went to as many other people as he did, let alone as young as described here. fuck

mjncetera @mjncetera.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

thank you for the answer. i'm not totally sure i agree. something like this does not read as just a failure to read the room, but rather just the total discard of the other person on the line you and i have lost a lot of people. it doesnt mean we must always defend who we have left

110

mjncetera @mjncetera.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

i would doubt that one of my partners would join in on a dogpile for no good reason. i mean shit, there's stuff about anorexia and concerns with consent with a much younger group, i again ask if there's something you're reading in these screenshots that i'm not. i'm stunned you're defending this

mjncetera @mjncetera.bsky.social · 06/03/2026
