The rise of hateful transphobic rhetoric was always a deflection. By scapegoating the gender-diverse community and claiming that women and children are at risk from the community has always been to draw attention away from those who do cause harm. Gendered and sexual violence is always about power.

At this point I don't think there can be an ethical use of generative AI. A system that has been built on stolen art and personal data. A system that consumes vast amounts of electricity and water. A system that is both sycophantic and has no meaningful safety guard rails.

When talking about the latest vile news coming from twitter please make sure you refer to the images as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). It is not Child Pornography. Generative AIs like Grok have in all likelihood been trained on CSAM in the reckless rush to get to market.
