millsage sketches (lamb hotaru and a little houka)

Sketches of Hotaru Shiomi, mostly depicted as an all-white lamb. A pencil sketch of Houka Izumi as a fox.

the nsfw art trend of the week being a genderbend harry potter character that people are referring to with a portmanteau of the characters name and a misogynistic slur is ridiculously on the nose. it feels like some outlandish parody where someone tried to think of the most soulless thing possible

she agrees in the replies that she's creepy but apparently calling it grooming is taking it too far even though she's covertly leading hotaru on the whole time and making active effort to mold hotaru according to her wishes while pushing her into the kanata replacement role lol

this was followed by content showing mafuyu being dissatisfied with the idea of familial happiness as ultimate fulfillment and an event that flips family reconciliation which is seen as progress on its head in a way that parallels mizuki's displacement of the coming out narrative so it's ok now

going from listening to your trans girl friend's advice who told you it's okay to run away from your incestuous mom to making baby steps to reconnect with your absent dad when your only positive memory with him is from when you were in kindergarten #scary

it should go unstated that grooming isn't strictly sexual but i also think houka's thing with geniuses is absolutely meant to read as invasive and sexual bc she's always talking about hotaru like she's on the verge of having an orgasm and this is creepy in itself especially when it's unprompted

Gamo @mizuthropy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

the whole band finds houka creepy but they dgaf bc they benefit from hotaru's scapegoating. when oomfie is a predator but we keep her around bc we share a vision 🤗

Gamo @mizuthropy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

the little will she had is gradually broken in the process until there's nothing left by the end and houka's deal with geniuses comes from her identifying it as a very ogling external projection/role incompatible with her own interiority and then pushing it on those she can get away with

Gamo @mizuthropy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

so hotaru ultimately blames herself and wants to atone for her position like it's her fault and she's in a very vulnerable position as someone who's easy to abuse with how little experience and self esteem she has while being 6 months behind in her grief (all of which houka immediately picks up on)

Gamo @mizuthropy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

the joke with houka is that she says the most offputting shit and gets away with it with a slap on the wrist at best and pushes hotaru along the path she wants her to take and is the primary one pushing kanata's memory on her while making her feel like she's independently making these decisions

it's unfortunate that so many people who talk about houka end up downplaying horrific abuse bc her dynamic with hotaru is genuinely fun
