🚨 Also, this is a great time to bring up one of the many math hills I will die on… Math manipulatives are not just for “struggling learners.” They are fantastic tools to challenge our thinking and expand our understanding no matter where we are in the learning journey!

Choose a problem and let me know what you think! 👇🏽 I love this simple activity because it shows students that a fraction only has meaning when we know the whole that it relates to…When the whole changes, so does the fraction!

A teammate and I had a debate over the weekend about a 3rd grade math standard. Do you think kids should learn how to read an analog clock? Why or why not?

I absolutely love this 💛 I also think this validates the importance of context for kids because 25 r25 could be right in some situations! When do we divide 100 by 3 in life without any context?
