cute pin badge I picked up at a flea market in llandudno haha

A pin badge, featuring an anthro badger. They are wearing yellow glasses, denim overalls, and a red long sleeve. They have a badge saying "BCC". Text on the badge says "badge collectors circle. 1990 member. Founded 1980."

I'm so excited for the alien tamagotchi paradise, I've been loving my glacier. Genuinely think the Paradise is the best modern model they've done.

from their website. yup totally a real child. maybe she just has really tiny hands (with a ghost finger), or maybe she got a super special xl aqua pet.

no one prob remembers but a couple years ago I made my own fake AquaPet, it was a toy I had as a kid that I enjoyed a lot. It was around sporadically over the years till around 2011ish. today i go into smyths and what do i find...... new, ai slop versions 💀

a drawing of a fake aquapet based off my rabbit fursona.

the back of packaging for "The NEW aqua pets" Some of the text is poorly aligned, and the illustrations of the characters available look to be AI generated.

front of the package for "the new aqua pets". The character is an axolotl, which looks AI generated. There's a photo of a young girl holding it, which also look to be AI gen as her eyes are weird, the toy is much larger than it really is, and she has an extra finger.

photo of two more aqua pets in the shop, the character images are 2D instead of 3D like the other ones. for some reason?? the photo of the girl on the left device looks very AI gen as well.

They don't make 'em like they used to 😩 so stoked to have these beautiful propelling pencils. The top opens for lead storage! #vintagepencils #pencilposting

photo of three vintage propelling pencils in a hand, held up to sunlight. They are amber coloured with some marbelling, and somewhat clear so the sun lights them up. They each have a different coloured clear cap - yellow, brown, green. The propelling point is silver.

got some vintage Bruynzeel pencils with box! Not sure on a date range but I'm guessing 60's? I was surprised the box opened up like that with a hinge, most old ones just open at the top (narrow end). Modern version for contrast. #pencilposting #vintagepencils

a photo of the pencil box, opened. it is hinged along the long side of the box, which is uncommon for cardboard boxes of the time. There is a paper slip extending out so you can lift the pencils out of the box easily. Inside of the lid has "Nederlandsche Potlood-Industrie Bruynzeel" printed on it.

well. i guess the scanner is better. i would say generally wonkier on the colours but with the higher fidelity, it shouldn't be too hard to adjust in post.

a side by side comparison of a marker and pencil artwork, left side is an iPhone photo, right side is from a HP scanner. The colours are much brighter and washed out on the scan, but the line and detail quality is much higher.

finally got an ebay hit - and they're lefties!! These are the oldest iteration of Turquoise I have now, think these are early 1930's. I'm still after the even older version that has the realistic eagle logo, like on the box. Also, that box 😍 #pencilposting #vintagepencils

a photo of vintage pencils with their box. Eagle Turquoise from 1930's. They are painted blue with pale gold text stamped into the barrel. The box is various shades of blue with gold text and graphics, in an early Art Deco style.

Comparison of three Eagle Turquoise pencils. 1930, 1950, 1980 (rough estimates)

WHAT KIND OF RESPONSE IS THIS..... bro,,, where are your priorities. (transcript in alt text)

Screenshot. I've messaged TheArtShops questioning their use of AI in a poster and this was their response:
using genuine artwork has copyright complications, and although we have plenty of artists that would be more than happy for us to use their work, we would still have to credit them and as a result would create a conflict of interest and exclude them from entering the competition.
The images are simply to give the artists some context to the theme, on the original leaflet instore i have even depicted a Yorkshire pudding, this is to say that
'everything' Yorkshire isn't just a pretty landscape.
if you have any practical alternatives that don't breach copyright issues, we are genuinely all ears.
please do get back to us with your ethical suggestions
