When we found Maelle she was a little underweight, scared and had some tummy issues. Now, we are working with a vet through that, she is happy and having fun as part of my crew. Such a sweet little kitty. Scared and unsure no longer, seeing her build confidence has been fun!

A black kitten sleeps on a bed with her head on top of her paw.

@deadeyejedibob.bsky.social got to snuggle with Maelle! He wasn't feeling well due to allergies. Nothing fixed everything quicker than kitten snuggles!

Bob is laying on the bed covered up in a quilt. Maelle a black cat is snuggled up on top of him. Bob's hand is protectively holding her.

Some days it goes like this. "What am I doing?!?" "What am I doing?!" Then I just bounce around from thing to thing and get nothing done lol

Misty Rayburn @mistyrayburn.bsky.social · 04/04/2025

Feeling like I'm on the outside looking in. Seeing all my accessibility friends getting review codes and I can't help by adding my voice. I can't buy all these games. I have to wait for them to either come out on gamepass with the rest of you or wait till they go on sale.

I miss my accessibility friends :(

For those of you not over on that "other app", @deadeyejedibob.bsky.social and I told the world that we are a pair now. We had spent the last month telling people close to us and when all of them unanimously said Brandon would have wanted to see me happy, we decided to make it public. ❤️

Misty Rayburn @mistyrayburn.bsky.social · 10/03/2025

Hey everyone! What's going on over here? I'm currently working on Brandon's book. Should be finished by the middle of this week. So just letting everyone know over here that is interested that book is still gonna happen!

Game Dev is a dumpster fire right now. Not even making a game of the year gives you job security. This is effed man.

Misty Rayburn @mistyrayburn.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Rough last few days. Little sleep and then I found out cancer took another person from me. I don't understand this world. We fight and argue over choices that don't concern us when we could be solving the important things. Love each other. Tomorrow is not promised. Hug your loved ones.

010

Misty Rayburn @mistyrayburn.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Misty is running on hardly any sleep and I had to type this over like 3 times due to typos but that's okay. Got to hang with my late night crew last night and it was fun vibes!

Misty Rayburn @mistyrayburn.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

This year was shit. It was absolute shit. And yet Brandon always said I rise from the ashes like a phoenix. This is the most difficult get up, dust yourself and go forward I have ever been through. But I have my friends, I have the people I love and I know Brandon is with me.

Had to go back to the bank today. Somehow last month when I went to get a document notarized I walked out without the notary stamp. Not only that but I sent it in that way too. So I had to get it redone. :(

To say this year has been unkind to me is the understatement of understatements. Yet still I am thankful. I am thankful for those of you that stood by Brandon on his path and those that stand by me now as I continue what he started as he wanted me to. New friends and old <3.

You know I talked about my concerns a lot with Brandon even before he was sick. He knew about me valuing myself less than I should. He knew that I was afraid of the thought of trying to do this work alone. He had faith in me, faith that many of you would help me ( continued )

Welcome new friends! For those of you who don't know me, I am Misty. Brandon Cole was my fiance and we both fought tooth and nail for blind accessibility in games. I am carrying on our fight! So if you want to talk accessibility, don't hesitate to message me! :) Let's work together!

So our fridge is going out. Either we're gonna repair it or get a new one. I hope for a new one. That fridge was small! But it's my mom's call, not mine. Whenever we decide what we're gonna do, I'm gonna make spicy ramen from the destiny cookbook!
