It's gross how weebs infantilize Japanese people, especially women, and act like they are magical pure children who have no knowledge of the world and can do no wrong

My external hard drive is just randomly loud now lol. Making concerning tocking sounds while working but I mean I guess it's fine? Is running a backup right now so that's why it's making noises but I've never heard these particular noises before

Perhaps! If I include that one it will lead me towards enlightenment 🙏

Apparently this thingy might help with my GPU noise? It does something with the ground and stops the ground loop or something I dunno lol

A GND Defender thingy plugged into the PSU on a PC

Phantasy Wolf Online ✦ ☉∇ @mistyfur.dog · 6h

Makes sense! Though I think I have narrowed it down to my GPU, at least for the main source. If I do anything like run a game or even OBS it kicks in really loudly lol. Am using an audio interface that has its own power supply but it also connects to the PC via USB ofc

Loudly on the battlefield in a battle against Skaven: Oh no I hope they don't cast the DREADED THIRTEENTH on me!!! It would be such a horrible shameful fate to be turned into a simple clanrat! Luckily there are definitely no Grey Seers around who are even capable of using such a powerful spell! :3c

That sounds really cool! The way stuff is presented and how it ramps up can really make a huge difference. I've got a French conversation book that basically goes through a mystery story and I really like that one

Phantasy Wolf Online ✦ ☉∇ @mistyfur.dog · 11h

omgs I can't find reference to a glove either! What is it that I was thinking of, I swear I didn't make this up

010

Phantasy Wolf Online ✦ ☉∇ @mistyfur.dog · 11h

Wait am I think of a glove for Black & White? Maybe I am lol. Searching I did find there are newer pressure sensitive mice though. They mostly have distinct levels and aren't analog ranges but that could still work!

110

Phantasy Wolf Online ✦ ☉∇ @mistyfur.dog · 11h

Remember when they made pressure sensitive mice lol. Was that only for Black & White or did they have other purposes? Imagine drawing with one of those. True master of mouse drawing with perfect line pressure 🔥

Phantasy Wolf Online ✦ ☉∇ @mistyfur.dog · 11h

True! Honestly I could believe a gamified thing like duolingo could work but it just isn't designed to be very effective on purpose, like it said. Those apps also act like they are the only thing you need, if they really wanted you to learn they would encourage pairing it with forms of immersion

LRP is true. You don't *need* hormones to be trans! But you might be part of the large majority of trans people that feel a lot better being on them! Just taking them for a trial isn't something to fear either. Is fine if you stop, is fine if you don't! But just know it's an option 🩵

You don’t need hrt to be trans, and if you don’t want hormones, that’s fine, but I will always strongly encourage people to try them. Sometimes it helps to have someone encouraging you to just try it and make you ask yourself why you might or might not want them.

Is kinda weird when people are like how am I supposed to learn a language now that duolingo sucks. When like... it already sucked before. Playing a little game every day is not a good way to learn. If you really need something step by step then get a textbook with audio or a real course

Makes me feel better to be working on a programming project. Obv without AI (other than the shitty autocomplete, not even sure what that uses I think it's all on device too) and without the pressure to use it that I get at work. Programming can still be art 🩵

I wonder if a USB power blocker would reduce the ground loop noise from my PC to my audio interface. I know some devices won't work like that even if they are powered elsewhere but I may be able to make it work with one of those extra power USB splitter things
