Late post but I had such fun at the inaugural Lost Valley Trail Race through Smokey Hollow, Borer's Falls, Rock Chapel & Dundas Valley on Saturday! Could have done without the thunder & lightning while I was running the edge of the escarpment 😅🌩️ but I managed to finish before the deluge! 🌧️

On November 10th, 2008 I stepped out my front door to see if I could run around my block a couple of times. This evening - 17 years and around 35,000km later - I ran through blowing snow, because the rewards are still greater than the discomfort. #running

While I wouldn't recommend a 50k as therapy for a herniated lumbar disc, it worked out ok today at Wise Raven on an absolute stunner of an autumn day. Grateful to get dressed up like a dork and wander in the woods for a few sunny hours, even if my bits hurt
