I really appreciate that in the midst of Sony’s messy breakup with Hideo Kojima Nintendo is casually dropping a 30% sale on their store, adding mii sharing between switch 2, 3ds, and the Wii U, and adding mii maker music (one of a few things people have been asking for for YEARS)

Yeah no if the game has any sort of stylization it sucks the life out of everything regardless 😭

I’m not sure how different it is with proper implementation but it seems to have a tendency to blow highlights way out and desaturate everything

I don’t go back and replay night stages like I do day stages but I’ve reached a point of understanding that play style that I genuinely enjoy them when replaying the game It’s put unleashed as one of if not my favorite Sonic game

I think the game immediately shines once you do two things regardless of version: really explore the stages on your first go around, and put your exp into leveling the werehog. My first (almost) complete experience with unleashed was on PS3, and I loved it even then. Recomp is undoubtedly better tho

Unleashed was genuinely a crazy save after 06 flopped, it’s such a shame that people were quick to hate on anything Sonic at the time

Lastly, I recorded the video in orthographic perspective to remove any warping. The line work was done with Nomad’s vertex painting system. It’s similar to how Meccha Chameleon works if you’ve played that! (3/3)

Nomad has a number of default MatCaps to choose from, I would switch between a more normal one and a full bright one to check the silhouette. Because the full bright one was going to be the final product (and because this was quick), I prioritized a good silhouette over a nice smooth sculpt. (2/3)

Started with a sketch of the front and back and basically just flipped back and forth trying to match the features as close as possible. Because my drawings aren’t consistent between angles, I had to find a bit of a middle ground. (1/3)
