Men over 50 making posts on Social Media about women or bragging about their virility or "supposedly" trying to appeal to women, even if it is just a joke is plain creepy. It's no wonder most of them are single/divorced.....

As of today, i've lost 19 pounds the old fashioned way with a healthy diet and mild exercise. I know that my body is reshaping itself because my clothes are getting baggy but I dont really "see" it mentally yet. It will come with time :)

Finally finished the custom king sized quilt that divides into 2 sections for my son & dil. It can be separated & washed easy at home or used as 2 couch blankets. After trial & error, I went with buttons and a unique edge to reduce bulk. If you can imagine it, you can do it! #quiltsky

September was pretty spendy so i'm going to do no/low spend October. The freezer is stocked so I should be okay food-wise except for things like yogurt. The pusses are fully stocked as well and I have no appointments. I just need to stay off sites like Amazon!

Today I peeled and chopped up 14 bulbs of garlic for the freezer. I never, ever want to do that ever again...... When it's used up, I'm only ever buying jars of pre chopped!

Went through a long process with Pet Valu proving that their store brand cat litter had changed in quality for the worse. Provided pics, video, etc at their request. Just got final reply that their supplier says nothing has changed so that's that. Dont buy Fresh4Life cat litter cat people.

It's not just men. Worked in healthcare, lots of double shifts d/t shortages, rest of time sleeping and my son basically. Went on perm disability, found only friends I had were at work and they disappeared over time. It sucks but i'm kinda good at being a hermit :)

Why do many people seem to think that my being older means that i've become stupid, have no idea about anything, especially electronics and need to be mansplained to? And yes, i've put a few in their place with my knowledge base lately. Others simply arent worth my time.....

Been doing this health/weight loss thing for about 6 weeks now. Discovered today that my old scale is completely inaccurate so no idea how much weight i've lost. Waiting for the new one to arrive tomorrow and hopefully i've lost as much about as much weight as I think I have....LOL

So everyone is mad about the NY Times list of the best tv shows of the 21st century. This is somebody's list made from whatever data they used. Personally, I didnt hit something i'd rewatch until #34, Schitt's Creek. Yup, i'm proud of being an oddball :)

Just watched the season finale of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. Love the premise, the cameos and the originality. Still hate that the episodes are so damned short, running about 15 minutes. I get that it's cheaper and theres no filler but just a bit more please!

For the first time in my life, I said to hell with being frugal and splurged on a really good pair of runners even if the 50% off price was still too expensive. It only took me decades to realize that my crappy knees and flat feet are going to like exercise a lot more if I give them good shoes :)

It's been a busy couple of weeks and now my body is telling me it's had enough. Feeling exhausted & I think every single muscle in my body hurts. Having a chronic pain thing means I usually have to balance rest and activity but sometimes things just happen and I cant. This is one of those times

Trying to use more reusable items & things that use less packaging. Today's trial is laundry detergent sheets. They were on clearance at my grocery store. The load is going now so we'll see how things look - there wasnt anything overtly dirty in the load so not sure how i'll tell how they work :)

I always wonder how things like that end up in thrift stores. Did a recipient not like them? Did someone die? Did they get lost in shipping? Then I wonder what my family will do with all the things i've made when I die.....

Is there some kind of sweet potato and yam shortage? 4 different grocery stores today and not a single one. Found expensive Japanese yams. Found equally expensive organic purple sweet potatoes. Could have tried more stores but gave up. It was just weird....

Day 36 of good old fashioned diet and exercise to my crappy tolerance levels and i've lost 5.4 kg (almost 12 lb). Slow and steady, nothing trendy, learning new habits. My 1st goal is 20 lbs. Yes, ive cheated but got back on track. I can do this.....

So BBC has put Dr Who out for tender for new ideas. Read a lot of the posts on here & am feeling unsettled as to what it will become. I just want adventures without an emphasis on gender or sexuality. I want the lore, I want unforgettable episodes and characters for the right reasons. Pretty please

I've been using the Samsung app for the last month or so since I got this new phone and got the cheapest Samsung watch. Been entering my food and attempting exercise. I'm down 10 pounds :) It's a great help!

It's for a unique problem. My adult son & wife have a cat that will pee on the bed when it takes offense. They need to be able to wash the quilt and a king sized one will not fit in a home washing machine. I thought of velcro but it lays funny. Fingers crossed this works :)

Every time a quilt is opened out a cat will appear to sit on it. It is a 100% probability :)
