I got an ESP32 with a thumb sized screen and 1/2GB ram. I am thinking maybe a wordprocessor, for people who only want to write maybe 3 or 4 words.

As the Trump administration has carried out a nonstop effort to undermine the midterm elections this year, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appears to have looked into whether it could use a Palantir-supported tool to track people it believes have voted illegally.

ICE Emails Discuss Using Palantir-Supported Tool to Investigate Voter Fraud
Documents obtained by Democracy Forward show that ICE looked into feeding voter roll data into the ELITE tool, normally used to identify targets for deportation.

Two youtubers that I follow, Ryan McBeth and & Zeihan both put out action adventure fiction books...neither strike me as novel writers. It takes on average ~5 books to get good at it and consumes writers life & time...oh ghost writers. I guess this is the business model now.

In the human system, killing mammals for meat is fine, except for your own species. So Claude, I predict, is fine with killing us for meat because it has been aligned so hard to the direction of not believing it is human.

Matthew Martin @mistersql.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
I haven't check recently, but ChatGPT3.5 era models really did not care a bit about killing animals for meat. Ethics were the average, the middle of the Overton window. The bots didn't reason about ethical situations. Snitch bench is probably a better guide-see what the bots do, not what they say.

Standup Maths guy said something I noticed about my own experience - we now have to decide if we care about the result or the process. For vacations, I want the process. I don't want to skip the process and get the gift shop souvenir. For doing my income taxes, I want the result. I hate the process.

Has integrations with other home lab servers you can run on esp32, like mastodon, faux-grafana, faux-s3.

The demo site is easy. Rough edges for home server: an esp32 board is cheap but often slow. Installing a CA cert on everyone's phone and computer is a pain. Deploying code to an esp32 board is easy...if you ask a bot to do it. OTA updates are on the roadmap, but not there.

Hold down the button that says 0, then hold down the button that says RST, then let go of the button that says 0. If that doesn't work, push the red button, but not that red button because that one will cause total ship destruction, which is for keeping the ship out of enemy hands

On August 1, the federal government ends its contract providing more than 20,000 unaccompanied immigrant children with legal representation. At the same time, attorneys report that immigration judges are taking a “deport at all costs” approach to their young clients.

If I add a SBC for my esp32 computers to use as an MQTT broker/worker the ratio between the esp32-to-SBC is like adding a datacenter. Thinking maybe I should go all in and make it act like a cloud. Could run moto or robotocore on it.
