MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 23/09/2026This has been popping up lately: “If you could remove from Earth 5 people with no repercussions, who would the other 4 be?” 040
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 20/09/2026That would be nice. I can’t pay for a picture, but I can send you a couple of “Hoo-Hah!” books (hoo-hah.net). 000

MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Konahana Sakuya is actually a pen name from two well known cartoonists - Denjiro and Tsugumi - their serialized story “The Lights” was issued in a full manga book. They drew me in about 75 different panels as a teacher whose students investigate other-world alien sightings. 211
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 20/09/2026At first I thought this was fake. No. It was actually posted in P̶R̶A̶V̶D̶A̶ Truth Social. 020

MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 18/09/2026From the manga “The Lights” by Konahana Sakuya. Yes it is me, and where I got the name “Mister Ron” (also “Sensei Ron” depending on the translation) 120
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Harding probably committed suicide after the Sinclair Teapot Dome scandal. Coolidge watered down the stock market, leading to Hoover’s incompetence after the crash. Ike was a great General. Nixon, who was plain evil. Reagan lowered taxes, then raised Social Security more. Both Bushes sold out USA. 011

MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Looks promising. Will the Washington Sun eventually offer Comics? If so, it might be appropriate to offer entirely NEW funny pages, instead of collections of strips credited to artists who passed away fifty years ago. 000

MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Mrs. Noonan really existed - she died in cancer working at what was called "Soap Suds Row" at Fort Lincoln in the 1870s -- Elizabeth Custer wrote about her in her biography. Huntley's news articles later appeared in the National Police Gazette. Later, he and Florence wrote up a seance about her. 000
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Also important to the book is Huntley’s wife, Florence Chance Huntley, whose achievements can be found in almost any history of famous American women. (Well worth looking her up). 100
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026 A genuine celebrity, he was among the first journalists to appear in advertisement endorsements. Not long before his death, Huntley, was offered to become the Chief of the Teton Sioux, a unique event for a non-Indian then or now. 100
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026He followed that event as an editor and humorist at the Brooklyn Eagle, where his hilarious “Mr. and Mrs. Spoopendyke” stories boosted circulation in newspapers all over America, England, and Australia, and a book of those stories stayed on the best-seller lists well into the early 20th century. 210

MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Huntley’s journalistic adventures included taking over ownership of the failing Bismarck Tribune newspaper in 1878-79 with eight dollars and change, bringing it back to life, then quitting to journey through the wilderness of Canada for a dangerous interview for the Chicago Tribune 110
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Huntley’s passing was covered at least 75 times in every English newspaper in the world. I have combined about half Huntley’s own words or newspaper articles about him along with real and fictional characters’ background stories to make it a narrative engaging and sensible to modern readers. 110
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026In his short career in the 1870s until his death in 1885, he was among the most popular writers of his day, and beloved by readers for his “Mr. and Mrs. Spoopendyke” stories. In more modern times, the Spoopendykes might be considered historical progenitors of Ralph Kramden and Gracie Allen. 110
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026From a query: My narrative non-fiction book entitled “The Celebrated Mr. Huntley,” offers a detailed, thrilling and extremely funny read using well-researched narrative techniques. The life and journalistic work of Stanley Huntley, centers on an unjustly forgotten figure in modern times. 110
MisterRon @misterron.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Interesting. I have a buried 600 page Victorian era book concerning Stanley Huntley and Florence Chance Huntley that no one has managed to get very far with it. Here’s an actual newspaper article Huntley wrote from 1878 that centers on events of the time — 110
