In 1996, Mario Kart 64 retailed for $60. Adjusting for inflation, that would be $122 today. Charging $80 for video games isn’t really uncalled for and we should be grateful we’re only seeing this shift now. ps: Nintendo Switch $300 in 2017 adjusted for inflation today: $390. Not far off from $450.
