Is it really that surprising that a business school, recognizing that its graduates are part of an investment portfolio, would grant a degree to the idiot scion of a wealthy real-estate developer from NYC? Seems natural to me that B-schools would care more about grads’ earning potential than brains.

That's what traditional supply-and-demand economics would suggest would happen. Maybe it does. I'm interested in research and data on the phenomenon of how the information landscape affects pricing. I suspect there is some connection, but I don't know what it is or where to look.

I’m curious, is there any data/research on the degree to which construction firms respond to the reports of a.i. spending in deciding what to build? More specifically, if you hear that an a.i. company is spending x-billions of dollars, do you court their business (and charge more) because of hype?
