(2/2) I’ll get back to my usual activities as soon as I’m home. Thank you once again—none of this would be possible without your support for my work!

(1/2)Thank you all for your support and patience. I’ll be heading home on the 19th (this Sunday) and should arrive on the 20th. After two years apart, I was able to spend three wonderful months with my girlfriend, and I am so grateful for that.

I’ve already invested years in college, classes, and art supplies—all of which would go to waste. I want a place to call home—a calm, safe place where I can be myself and work in peace—but to get there, I need to start; I need to wake up.

ৡ 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽 𝓛𝔂𝓷𝔁 𓃠 @misssinclair.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Afraid to allow myself to make mistakes and feel frustrated. Why is all this happening? What’s going on? Why can’t I be like everyone else? It’s been hard—really hard. I’ve been thinking about giving up art and finding another job, but what would I do?

ৡ 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽 𝓛𝔂𝓷𝔁 𓃠 @misssinclair.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

And so I stay there, making small progress but it’s nerver enough, never what I’d like it to be, and never how I used to be. I feel so much pressure—I put so much pressure on myself that I’m afraid to start, to try.

I end up getting lost in this repetitive cycle, and what used to be as simple as just sitting down and drawing becomes mental torture where I stare at the screen, berating myself: “Do it! Just do it! You have to do it! If you don’t, you’ll drown in debt!”

It’s AI advancing into a future that I no longer know if it will ever be promising, given the number of artists setting art aside because they’re losing their jobs. There are so many fears, so many demands, so many dreams of personal projects growing increasingly distant.

There’s the job market. There are art studies to keep up with so I “don’t lose my skills.” Daily comparisons to achieve the perfect line art, the perfect painting, perfect anatomy. Likes, shares, followers. Numbers. You NEED numbers. Posting regularly. I fail at all of them, every day.

I really miss that. That’s over now; I don’t know how or when it happened. Maybe because of the routine? Comparisons? The pressures of adult life? Or perhaps a bout of depression that gradually took the spark out of the things I loved? I don’t know. I don’t feel good; I don’t feel like I’m enough.

something that never limited my creativity and opened doors to new creative worlds—is now just a daily headache. I remember drawing every day—personal pieces or commissions—always with the same enthusiasm, without worries, limitations, or comparisons. And I

I wish I could take my graphics tablet with me to another country. I feel like I have to relearn how to draw whenever I use one I'm not used to, and I end up taking even longer to finish my work. :')
