Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 18/02/2026Thank you, I made them out of dried Columbine (flower) stems. I wanted pebble eyes but couldn't find any lol 010

Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 20/08/2025I've been diagnosed with Nintendis Elbow. It's a kind of joint inflammation common in people playing too much Mario Tennis. 120
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 13/08/2025They found the statue with its legs and head cut off in the woods near where it was taken. It's apparently fixable. 020
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 13/08/2025I'm hoping it dissipates soon. The air irritates my eyes and throat. 010
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 13/08/2025The Galway water tower is closed and there are cops on site. The last two days crowds have gathered to look at the Paddy's Pond fire. Further down the road they are either preparing a lot for construction, or preparing to make a fire break. Here you can see how thick the smoke is. 000
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 12/08/2025We are now on Evac Alert from the fire so I'm packing my most important desk items in my lunch bag just in case 000
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 12/08/2025Oh boy I can't wait to not be able to see it. Though I'd rather it be from rain rather than the wildfire. 010
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 12/08/2025All we need now is some kind of rare astrological event like a meteor shower or the Aurora Borealis and we will get rain in no time. #nlwx 240
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 04/08/2025I was cold in the shade yesterday so I wore a sweater, baffling Wilson as it was 20°C at the time. 000
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 01/08/2025Was a perfect storm of regatta day closure the day before, people coming into town for Canada Games, the last day of the month (aka moving day), last month before school starts, a Thursday before a long weekend, and the day after a literal storm. Only be worse if they somehow added xmas in there 100
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 01/08/2025Context, this is the line to check out hitting the back of the store 120
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 31/07/2025The only person I've talked to that wasn't blown away was my dad, but he's driven in a tornado before lol 110
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 31/07/2025This was taken mid strike, at midnight. It looks like the sun is out, but the shadows are wrong, and the neighbors lights are on. 010
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 31/07/2025Last night we had the biggest thunder storm I've ever seen in NL. It fluctuated and reset my power, changed my kitchen LEDs to green, it turned on my tv backlights, it lit up the yard to look like daytime. It shook my house. It caused fires around metro. It lasted for hours. 220
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 08/07/2025Thanks pals! He compared my work to the Matrix and that's my favorite movie so I could receive no higher compliment 😊 010
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 07/07/2025Amazing weekend! I got to hang out with award winning SF author Robert J Sawyer. We talked about all things writing with him and it was fantastic. Yesterday he critiqued part of my manuscript & thought it was good. As an aspiring SF writer that meant so much to me 😊 So happy I put myself out there! 370
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 01/07/2025Its Canada Day, but also Memorial Day in Newfoundland. On July 1st we remember the 800 Newfoundland soldiers that joined Canada in World War 1 and fought at Beaumont Hamel. NL was not part of Canada at that time, and of 800 NL soldiers, only 68 survived. We didn't get to BH but one day I'd like to. 010
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 26/06/2025It's like they have never read an X Man before. This is clearly *the* Captain Doglegs AKA Carol B Underdog. For those that aren't familiar her legs were bitten by radioactive robot dogs while visiting a dog park factory next to a nuclear plant. The cyclops style visor she wears is just decorative. 010
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 12/06/2025I saw Escape Quest is hiring but I think that's only part time 010

Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 27/05/2025The British King sits on a thrown in Canada, listening to a young Metis person play an (Irish) fiddle, and hears an address in English and French. He shakes hands with both Liberals and Conservatives. The cultural representation is beautiful. He will read a speech that underscores Canada's Sovernty. 000
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 27/05/2025I saw a uniform that I remember my Grandfather wearing. He passed away when I was young, so I don't remember him very well. Visiting the interpretation center and actually being in Normandy recontextualized the stories for me. It felt more real. There was only one generation between me and WW2. 000
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 27/05/2025We toured the bunkers, we saw the ruins, and I learned some things I never knew before. Between Canada, the US, and the British, the Canadians made it furthest inland on June 6, 1944. I learned about the soldiers executed because there was no prison built yet. 100
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 27/05/2025The graveyard was humbling. It was the smaller of the two Canadian graveyards. It held people of different religions, most of which died from the battle of Juno Beach. Most were younger than 25. And the French keep it in such good condition. 110
Sara B @missquerade.bsky.social · 27/05/2025They know more about Canadian and Newfoundland history than any American I've ever met, and they are so far away from us. 100
