Russia outlawed trans rights in 2023, and now the US is following suit. Russia started mass deportations of migrants in 2024, and now the US is doing the same. Russia also banned media outlets critical of Putin, and now….you get the picture. We cannot allow the US to become another Russia.

Visas are complicated. For Russians who are trying to escape tyranny, I believe they need to physically be in another state in order to request asylum. I understand that Russians visitors are suspect, but without visas that allow travel, we could be condemning conscientious objectors to death.

If you had a truce with your mortal enemy, and then sent a message that said “Return to War,” I don’t think it would be interpreted as just your commitment to readiness. Call me a semanticist, but “Return to Draft” isn’t the best wording for a statement of preparedness.
