I won't be on the ballot in November, but a constitutional amendment I sponsored will be. Constitutional Amendment 1 eliminates the "pocket" veto, where a governor vetoes legislation without explanation. This bipartisan change promotes transparency and good government.

Yesterday I visited the entrance of the Epstein Ranch as memorials to the victims, which had been torn down, were restored. Overnight, the new memorials were also torn down. These memorials are in the public right-of-way and are protected by law. NMSA § 30-15-7. It's time to enforce the law.
