Ukraine’s defenders can be stuck on position for weeks or months at a time. Sometimes it’s possible to resupply food via drone but even these missions are now difficult. Food is bulky and heavy. Feeding troops has been a challenge for as long as wars have been fought.

Can you spot the drone? This is what Ukraine's defenders face every day—constantly scanning the sky while trying to do their jobs. Shotguns are best at taking them down, but not every defender has one. These little nets can be a lifesaving last line of defense.

His greatest hope now is a specialized finger prosthesis that will allow him to regain some independence and begin learning to use his leg prosthesis. His unit has already raised more than half of the $25,000 USD cost, but approximately $12,000 USD still remains.

Since then, Duke‘s served on the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Sumy fronts. A few months ago, his vehicle hit a mine before being attacked by FPV drones. Duke lost his right leg at the hip, his right arm at the shoulder, & his left hand at the wrist. He also had a TBI, burns, & other wounds.

This is Duke, who came to Ukraine in 2023 to defend a country that wasn't his own but has since become his home. He wasn't fighting for politicians or political parties. He was fighting for children sleeping in bomb shelters, families driven from their homes, & people who couldnt protect themselves.
