Without distinguishing between the empirical subject/self and the transcendental one it is impossible to understand what the self is. The empirical self is not the self proper but merely a transient phenomenal self-objectification of the real self — transcendental subject.

Bullshit. In Buddhism, "emptiness" (śūnyatā) means Transcendence whose other names are vijñānamātratva, nirvāṇa, śūnyatā, tathātā, tathāgatagarbha, etc — the nature of reality.

The only real "universe" is the universe of transcendental intersubjectivity whose particular nexuses constitite particular "worlds" of intersubjective phenomena. It is not the "world" that is "fine-tuned" to "life", but "life" — CONSCIOUSNESS — that is "fine-tuned" to experience the "world".
