Using a custom model format also opens the door to the use of unity shaders! It was awesome to find out I could just write my own shaders to achieve effects that are just impossible to do on most pre-existing general purpose shaders. Here's an example running on VNyan :) #Showcase #MW3D

The VRM format allows for basic physics that are more than sufficient in some cases, but with things like skirts, breasts and long hair, it's limitations start to show. With MagicaCloth, a result that is much more natural and resistant to clipping is achieved! Here's a comparison

There are a lot of things I thought were completely imposible to do in 3D that were very simple to do in 2D ones. Animated stickers on a face was one of them, but with the power of stencils and manipulation of the render queue, we achieved a satisfactory result!

In VNyan, you can do this in Menu → Settings → Tracking Layers → ARKit Tracking → Blendshape Adjustments. In Warudo, you can adjust the mappings in the face tracking asset. By making sure your model uses its full expressivity, you can achieve a perfect result!

Did you know that in most popular vtubing programs, you can achieve a very expressive result without having to overly exaggerate your facial expressions for hours at a time? It's just a matter of fine tuning the sensitivities of each blendshape to your face!

Sometimes, you need cloth to interact with your model in a way that plain old rigging just can't achieve. I always try to be as non destructive as possible while modeling, resulting in situations like this (This is not even a third of the way in) I have no regrets, and squashing all of that into a single fully rigged hair object is pretty satisfying #b3d
