Brand New are back with three sold-out shows. But weren't they canceled years ago? Yes & no. In my newsletter I explore this phenomenon & why the alt-scene may never be able to truly "cancel" anybody, fully coolkidsonly.substack.com/p/brand-new-...

Sans the roll-out, the amount of folks underwhelmed by all three of the #Warped line-ups is concerning. Never forget where you came from. I dive into #nostalgiacore, what vision Kevin Lyman told me about bringing Warped back + more: coolkidsonly.substack.com/p/warped-tou...

My largest anxiety & heartbreak doesn't come from the guy from the apps™️ who wasn't super honest w/ me, but from a close friend who continues to put me down for their own benefit despite space + conversation I'm more anxious about the later than the former. At least with the guy™️ we have open comms

It's a bit strange to me that I've had guys on apps ask me "how/why" i support trans rights if I'm not myself (it's listed on bumble at least) & im like...cause I support human rights & people being able to live?? Idk doesn't seem weird to me. If anything you SHOULD support if you arent trans wtf

We're so bottlenecked by nostalgia it's getting tired and boring. Aside from how the #Warped roll-out is being handled...the amount of folks upset about the line-up so far are upset larger name acts aren't on here, is kinda wild. Did we forget what WT was about before? 🧵

Already been a week: 1. the guy I was seeing ended up being way further from recovery from addiction than he was honest about (unraveled from an ER visit) 2. I finally resigned for the next school year for the college station I've ran for 4 years because of consistent disrespect & issues with admin

Trade schools are great for those who don't want a traditional 4 year route of higher education. However on the academic side, trade schools need to not put the full burden of class attendance = your evaluations on your shoulders.

Definitely interested in how the shift of rhetoric is going to accelerate (or steady?) Over on the bird app after today. I'm also intrigued to see the dichotomy of each + how this is even more so going to impact the way journos (on all levels) disseminate & newsgather

If you aren't ready to safeguard your students (at any education level) who are going to be the most threatened by raids, loss of care, and overall rights, you should absolutely NOT be an educator Hope this helps!!!!

This has been niche, low key discourse but I'd like to hear takes on it! Some music PR folks (I haven't experienced this I've only seen/talked to people about it) have been purposely taking/refraining from giving ops for interviews/reviews to journos/cc's if the content isn't inherently "positive."
