A new guitar playthrough appears! This song is definitely the most difficult track on the album, and it's also the most fun :D youtu.be/Uz-LpakDwr8

Even though I put out an album only two weeks ago, sometimes the music just flows even when you're trying to take a rest. Time for a nice crescendo in 15/8! #deathmetal #deathgaze #metalsky

Unlike the previous single, Homecoming ptI, the lyrics won’t be part of the video, but I have included subtitles with them, and bonus points to you if you can catch the references in the lyrics when it goes live (there are two big ones!)

We’re only eleven hours away from the second single of the album! Each song on this album was written in the order they show up on the album, and Where Olive Trees Wither was the one that made me go “I think I’ve got something here.” youtu.be/vAAcNGV3FDw?...

I have a pipe dream to make a song with @robscallon.bsky.social where it's like 10 minutes long and shoegaze and metal as hell. I could teach him how to do metal screams as well XD

MiseryFields @miseryfields.bsky.social · 05/08/2025

The references are varied and many, and include Star Trek, Penny Dreadful, Slice the Cake, and many more other pieces of media and I'd be delighted if anyone caught them. Some are more obvious than others lol

When I was writing out the tabs for the third track, I realised that if I had written the GP file first, I would have scrapped that song before I got halfway through it because the MIDI sounds like dogshit. However, the recording sounds amazing, melodic, extremely emotional...yeah. It's a good song.

MiseryFields @miseryfields.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

The way I used to do it was that I would write the instruments and all the extra harmonies in Guitar Pro first, and then I'd record the song once I was sure I had the whole thing structured and memorised. Now I record as I'm writing and then go back later and write the tabs.
