I did CLL for the first time for the token, and I’m realising that Save the Queen is like… the only combat storyline where Celus gets to be the main character instead of secondary. Sending my gatherer to war so he gets to do cool things on screen, instead of only in my head like usual

Tbh it’s been hundreds of years since they last met. Celus doesn’t remember the majority of the faces Halmarut wore. The only one he barely recalls is an Elezen, because that body once belonged to his sister. So now, when he looks back to when they were close, he probably sees her current form.

I kinda like the theory that the form she’s in rn is her own body from when she was mortal, but idk how high the chances are that Celus saw her as an au ra often, even if it is the same Halmarut. Drawing her as a cute lizzer for now but maybe it’s inaccurate to canon/headcanon?

I get the impression Ascians have memories of their previous Ascian incarnations, so she’d still know Celus even if the Halmarut who met him is dead, but she likely would have looked and behaved somewhat differently. He doesn’t know right now, it’s been centuries and she’s ignoring his calls.

#7.56spoilers The way she spoke about the Fourth makes me think she’s from before it froze (maybe from when it did) but iirc it was 500 years ago, and that period on a shard could equal anything on the Source She’s part of my lore set around the sixth calamity, but that may have to be a past life

#7.56spoilers I’m gonna depict Hal as an au ra in art set well before the current era for visual clarity but idk if she would have been. If she *is* from the Fourth, it still exists, so she could have been ascended as recently as the present (or she could have been ascended thousands of years ago)

Azem is next to a couple of Roes at the Gold Saucer and she’s never looked more tiny as a max-height Highlander I am realising that if I was to give her a more accurate model, I think I’d use a Roegadyn base rather than Elezen like Ancients tend to be. She needs to be tall and muscular.

Yeah, especially because they would specifically remove their cowls and masks in more private moments (or small groups perhaps). Their clothing is the thing that comes up in relation to their views on individuality, and that’s mostly it. Like as long as that fits, that’s the important thing.

Tbh… just based on the limited cc XIV has, the ancient NPCs do what they want to their hair, and they wear makeup… I dont get the impression there’s any other rules beyond ‘wear the robes and masks’ and ‘don’t transform in public’

Thinking about how the unsundered (so presumably the ancients) could change a body’s appearance with magic so like… if they ever release canon designs for ancient NPCs you have headcanon designs for, you can say they switch between them if you want. Instead of changing your design or ignoring canon

Really though, I needed reasons for Mise to wear Tataru’s outfits *and* her main expansion outfits, so I uh… destroyed them all 😔 The first one and the coat get wrecked by Zenos in the first fight with him and IFtC, and the one with the cape is transformed by the pixies into a different outfit

#7.56spoilers very vaguely The past two Tataru outfits have been more Celus’ style than Mise’s, so I have to headcanon that Mise has done something to lose Tataru’s favour. She’s on very thin ice (which happens to be what the last thing Tataru made her - the winter coat - ended up in tatters upon)

#7.5spoilers Sienna and Meteor spent 7.5 escorting some guys from the Ninth to Eorzea, but Mise has since informed them of everything going on with the Ascians. Now their plans are to switch gears and go Ascian hunting on the Source, as they once did with Gaius. They intend to invite Lia to join.

She’s mad at the Scions for accusing Celus of being on Halmarut’s side, so she doesn’t feel like helping them right now, but she can’t help him or Mise from the Source. #7.56spoilers Celus didn’t go to the Fourth when my WoL and the Scions did, but he’s going back with her next time for sure. He just might need to hang out on Mise’s shoulder as a mammet until he finds a suitable vessel. Halmarut has too much to answer for, he’s not letting her disappear again.
