Ok, not everything is terrible (most, I know. But not *quite* everything.) As proof, here are the four kittens my rescue gave me yesterday night. They're still a little grubby and I haven't sexed them yet, but they are sweet little ones!

I am dreadful with the jokes, but I do have kittens? Also, this is a really important moment. Fizz here is one of my Wild Bunch, and this is the first time she has comfortably played, out in the open, during regular waking hours. Small but momentous occasion!

This is Sid. She goes left (she has hydrocephalus, and spins left. This does not bother *her* although it's a bit dizzying/upsetting for humans to watch, lol. She is happy, and as healthy as she can be. And cute as a bug's ear!)

This is Fizz. You haven't heard about her much because she's spent the past month solidly hiding, coming out only when forced, and bolting back to hiding pretty quickly. But the last day or two has seemingly had a breakthrough. Look who is begging for skritchies, and fell asleep on me!

My rescue just gave me a new batch of foster kittens. Unnamed, about 8 weeks, 2 Siamese and 2 black ones.

I walked into the adoption event with one kitten. I was immediately handed two homegrown tomatoes and four new kittens. Have I mentioned I love my rescue? Just delightful people! Also, Camina got adopted! So I am now responsible for socializing these kittens pulled from a TNR event. Wish me luck!

Came home from grocery shopping and was pleased to be able to give my cats their favorites too! A paper bag and a box. My cats like trash, ok?

This is why they recommend you adopt kittens in pairs. After yesterday's adoption event, I have only one kitten left, and I just spent 15 mins aggressively playing wand toy games across the whole house and I think all I did was wind her up more lol. Such energy, much enthusiasm

The last two kittens have been a little needy today. They understand their sister is gone (to an adopter I feel good about! She is alive and well!) and they are really fine with it, but they have asked for extra snuggles several times. I feel bad for them, but I don't hate kitten snuggles

Be proud of me. I turned down an offer to foster 6 more kittens today (proud bc it's hard for me to say no, not proud to pass over foster kittens.) We've got our 2 cats, 3 foster kittens, and are sitting for my sib's dog - I am pretty much at my limit lol.
