Wanted to share with you the piece I’m currently working on!! This piece is inspired by a painting by an artist called J Redrick Smith and is part of what I hope to be a larger series of turning predominantly heterosexual subject paintings into a celebration of trans and queer joy #transart #queer

I've been working on this for a little while, I Iove the peaceful nature scenes of NMS and walking around beautiful planets. Lines are a mixture of charcoal pencil and 0.3mm fineliner. Grey markers for shading, and colour digitally painted! #nms #nomanssky #gamingclips #inkdrawing #gamingart #art

Life has been tougher than usual lately, so I drew a little punk dawg getting it’s art on. Remember that you are loved and important, and it’s okay to take the time you need to rest and recharge <3 Take care, -Mischief Teller #illustration #traditionalart #dogart #punkart #transartist #dawg

An illustration of a husky dog sitting on top of a pile of paper with paw prints, dog drawings, and scribbles all over them. The dog is sitting upright with a brush pen in its mouth, with its right paw raised in a friendly manor.

The materials I used are Ink Brushpen and marker on cardstock, scanned in and I made the shadows made darker in Procreate to create contrast.

I’ve had this idea banging around my head for a while, the news and current political climate in the UK makes many trans* and GNC folks feel hopeless, but if you’re reading this and you fall under those umbrellas there is space for you in this world and you are so loved 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈✨ #transart #queerart

A little Zine / Comic I made as a grounding exercise the other day. Rollerball pen on cartridge paper scanned in #transartist #zines #comicart #queerart #transjoy

The first page of the zine "I have changed, I am changing, I will change." is the title hand-written in black ink in the centre of a white page, surrounded by hearts and flowers.

The next page is a double page spread. On the left is a sketch of the tops of houses, trees and rolling hills as if you were looking out of a window. On the right-hand side of the page, is Mischief Teller's representation of how they view themselves. A canine-like anthropomorphic figure stands proudly, wearing a spiked collar, and has long hair. They have a tattoo of three dogs on their chest, scars and stretch marks.

The writing on this page says: "1: I have changed. My body is different, and I am older. I hold more love and patience than I ever have."

Moving to the next double page spread, on left is the canine-like character kneeling on the ground, tenderly feeling a plant that is growing from the ground. There is a watering can next to them. On the right side of the page, the canine character and a cat-like character are showing affection by touching foreheads to one another.

The writing on this page says "2: I am changing. But I am also tired! tired! tired! And so I cry and try, to put that energy into growing, and healing, and moving forward."

The final double page spread has the canine character and feline character standing behind a merchant table selling pins, and prints smiling at a customer. The customer is a dragon character who is pointing towards a print they want to buy.

The writing on this page says "3: I will change. And I know at some point my work will touch others, and I might still struggle, but I will still carry love and a presence of safety everywhere I go."

The final page is the back of the zine, which is a singular page that says "Mischief Teller Studios."

Mini comic about being trans and on HRT and being in love. I had a blast sketching this out, my intention was to create something without a reference, with emotion and positivity surrounding being trans. I love supporting my trans friends and family, and I feel so loved and supported in return.

If you're a cis ally one of the best things you can do is carefully do research, stay informed and be extra kind to those who may be struggling. Things are hard right now for trans folks, just know that you belong, you're safe and deserve access to the healthcare and support you want and need🏳️‍⚧️ (4/7)

I found journaling and sketching to be a HUGE help for me creatively. I was straight up told I was "Too Complex" of a patient for short term therapies. Getting a ND, LGBTQ+ friendly, long term creative therapist saved my life and helped me process 2 decades of trauma in a way that worked for me

I suffered from Panic attacks and the personified roots felt like a way to show how I experience them. It felt like tree roots (my trauma) had grown so deeply, taking ahold of every single part of me, squeezing so tight I couldn’t breathe. I would sketch around my sessions, and this is a favourite

I would really like to start opening up about things that inspire and influence me, a big part of this is my mental health journey. In 2019 I started getting psychotherapy for complex trauma, a frequent feeling was my trauma was so complex it felt like a plant literally rooted deep inside of me 🧵

I think you could probably have PDA by itself but it's usually seen as a symptom of something else if that makes sense? And overlaps with neurodivergency 👍 I see PDA as an extension of fight or flight mode, normal requests feel like a demand that puts your safety at risk

Best thing I can recommend is starting by drawing things you enjoy so it doesn't feel tedious when you're starting out + importance of fundamentals !!! Going outside and just drawing stuff you see is big underrated imo

Thus is true. I’m autistic with dyslexia and English is not my native language. It is absolutely not “just a simple thing to do” I try my best to write alt text. But I would prefer not to add fear of being dogpioed for forgetting about it once in a while to my long list of PTSD reasons.
