We must become agile and flexible. To feel responsible but not so guilty we are immobilized. To feel rage but to learn how to direct it into action and passion and purpose. To lift ourselves to a more existential absurdist place where the fascists cannot touch us. Not disassociation or numbness, but finding the grace, energy and humor that come when we commit ourselves more deeply to one another.

An Israeli man who was shot by a Jewish man in Miami Beach --who mistakenly believed the Israeli tourists were Palestinian -- posted "Death to Arabs" on social media after the attack, drawing condemnation from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The shooting occurred Saturday night when Mordechai Brafman, 27, reportedly made a U- turn, stopped in front of the victims' vehicle, and fired 17 rounds, according to police.

Brafman was charged with two counts of attempted murder after telling officers that he "saw two Palestinians and shot and killed both," according to a CBS News report, citing arrest documents.

Both victims, identified as Israeli tourists, survived the attack, with one suffering a gunshot wound to the shoulder and the other being grazed on the arm.

My father and I went through a murder attempt against anti-Semitic background. They tried to murder us in the heart of Miami but the creator of the world is with us so he didn't go. Algo me pasó en el 2024. En el bachilleres, mi profe de lógica creía compartir el abrumador genio lógico-deductivo de Hannibal Lecter, y sus gustos europeos: cultos y refinados. Lo decía sin ironía. Era un hombre patético y transparente, que alimentaba su ego de un público cautivo de adolescentes.
