One whole year of being sick! During this time I’ve been treated with so much neglect and disdain by neurologists that if they were vets treating a goldfish this way they’d have their practice shut down for animal cruelty. Unfortunately for me, I’m not an animal, but a woman. A hysterical woman.

Sent this to Gaël and he’s actually spooked by how identical it is to my own illness which started in late August last year. Unfortunately I’ve not had testing done to find out what it is, as despite psychiatrists saying it’s not a psychotic condition, the neurologists insist it’s “just my PTSD”

Medical practice in France is so bad as to be inexcusable and I cannot see how my treatment is even legal. But how much time do I really have to fuck around with? Every day I get worse, each day I am in a state of delirium or even psychosis, having frequent seizures, struggling even to breathe.

Health update: deteriorating terribly, it’s especially bad at night, so much so that every morning I wake up I feel groggy and sick, sure, but relieved because it feels like it’s not a guarantee anymore. The seizures and psychosis aren’t stopping, it’s hard to breathe at night.

I haven’t posted in a while but I don’t have much in the way of positive updates, just getting sicker. Struggling to walk still and having increasingly frequent episodes of confusion, forgetfulness, slurred or difficult speech, migraines, spinal pain, palpitations, chills and tremors. All quite odd.

Medical update no one asked for: got an ultrasound and was told I have inflammation in my stomach and intestines, then saw the note they wrote to my doctor in which they said there was nothing wrong and no inflammation and that I had come in for vomiting and pain (I did not)
