Hey does anybody else out there get the vibe that you're gonna love something when it's barely been sketched. like sometimes i just 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 I'm gonna like smth I'm working on when I've barely made a few lines. pls if yall have examples share with meeeee I can't be the only one

Stock image of a presumably hetero couple in fancy attire. The left is a woman with a modern orange dress in gold heels, her hair put up with flowers in it, and her hand across her partner's chest. The man is in a tuxedo and has one hand around her waist with the other in his pocket. They're looking into each other's eyes.

The same image from before except flipped and frankenstein'd to make the woman a bit shorter and kind of closer? It wasn't the exact pose I was going for so I did my best to workshop it and make it closer to the vision

Now that frankenstein'd image is at 23% opacity with skeletons sketched on top of it. Although messy and undefined, the man has both hands up in the air in a more shocked gesture and flustered expression.

Got one more before I call it a night, another revenge. This one for @mintykaorti.bsky.social I love me a buff lady and that cute fish skelly shirt, I want one. #art #ArtFight2026 #TeamComedy

An illustration featuring a muscular woman pictured from the thighs up, one hand on her hip, the other holds a leather jacket over her shoulder. She has sea green-grey skin with scars some larger, some resembling shark bites and dark freckles along her face arms and sides. She grins toward the camera wearing a black crop tank top with a fish skeleton on it and high waisted pants in grey with gold buttons. Her hair is feathered and short on top, long in the back, some of resembnling seaweed, she has long pointed ears.

sketch of Naomi holding Mikhail in a close hug, tightly gripping his shirt and trembling. She says "I'd rather keep ya as a friend than lose you forever as a scorned ex. If you have to leave, just...lemme say goodbye first."

Gabi (middle nonbinary black cyborg in green coat) as a snow(person), with Reggie (left redhead boi), Jonah (bottom right brunet boi), and Hannah (top right redhead girl) as lil helper elves. Reggie is putting on buttons onto Gabi's snow body (that suspiciously look like the cyan colored Phantoms), Jonah is patting down the snow body while lookin' up + blushing at Reggie, and Hannah is holding a carrot to her mouth, looking down inquisitively at Gabi.

Gabi's pipe-in-mouth puffs out a green smoke that carries the text "Happy Holidays (baby edition)"

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.
