I tried to control myself over the last couple of days, but I wasn't entirely successful 🤣

Kent is the main hop producing area, so whilst the beers can be found throughout the country, the people of Kent take particular pride in them, and so you will see them far more there than anywhere else.

I spent the last couple of days in Kent, where the green hop beers were in abundance. Some amazing ales were consumed!

"But you have to walk up stairs in people's back gardens!!!" Much as I can't wait for the new ground, I'll miss the Kenny when she's gone.

Some of them probably haven't even seen that much. They'll have heard the reputation online, and that's all they need.

I went to a tasting session at the Beer Shop in St Albans, with Tommie serving his own beers. Bloody lovely stuff (and he's a genuinely nice guy too!)

Pope Innocent III? Madonna called, she wants her bra back. What do you mean, you cut it in half and are using it as a hat?

Call that a crash? This was Lewis Gilbert in the opening BTCC race at Donington today (don't worry, he was given the all clear by the medical team at the circuit).
BTCC car leaves the track and starts to fly through the air.The same car, a few moments later, upside-down, still flying through the air.

I was using my colander and a garage door to see the eclipse, then I realised that my neighbour's tree was doing a far better job! Why is this not more widely publicised as a viewing method? I have to say that a tree is a better canvas than a garage door 🙂
Crescent shaped shadows on a garage door, caused by the light from the partially eclipsed sun shining through the leaves of a tree.

Started off using a colander, which let me take some photos of the eclipse, then nipped over the road, where my neighbours let me have a quick look with their eclipse glasses.
Multiple images of the partial solar eclipse, captured via the medium of colander and garage door.

He's watched another film and thinks it was a documentary, hasn't he?
Black & white still from "The Amazing Colossal Man" (1957). A man in uniform holds a giant hypodermic syringe. Behind him, another man is shouting through a megaphone, whilst a woman looks on.

Yes, I think it was around 99. I remember that we all piled out of our office in Stuart Street to experience it. I don't recall it getting very dark, but it did get quite cold, if memory serves me well.

In a pub in Luton once, I asked the girl serving me to remove the sparkler. She didn't know what I meant, so I explained. She said "Oh, the manager said we have to have that on". I said that as the customer, I would prefer it to be removed. Which, thankfully she did. The beer was fine without it!

I'm just catching up on the MLB Home Run Derby (not to everyone's taste, I know). It was the source of a great piece of "analysis": - 'I once saw Johnny Cueto wearing a hat, of Johnny Cueto wearing a hat of Johnny Cueto'.

St Saviours church on St Albans do a cracking beer festival. They also display what I would consider to be true Christian values.
Postcard in LGBTQ+ colours (apologies if I got that description wrong). It says: "St Saviours Church is for You. Me. Him. Her. They. Them. Everyone belongs. Everyone is loved.

I was writing some user documentation for an application. The manager who reviewed it told me (alongside a few other tweaks) to remove a whole section as it wasn't relevant. I did so. He reviewed again and asked why I hadn't included a section on the *bit that he'd previously told me to remove*.🤦‍♂️

Some really good spontaneously fermented Dutch beers at the Beer Shop in St Albans today with Tommie Sjef.

Am I right in thinking that Spain has a housing crisis. If so, I'm sure they would love to get rid of a load of Brits with 2nd homes, and give those homes to Spaniards.
