Same here, but we’ve done our time. Every dog has his day, and I had mine , but now I pace myself, try to be useful when asked and try to keep out of the way when not. Plus, having lots of hobbies helps! 😄

I thought I was wonderful when I first drove over the Severn bridge.. and that was in tandem with my husband. I was 37 when I learned to drive ( I thought I was too stupid! ). Passed first time but never confident; I think you’re amazing to drive so far on your own.

Luke and the Ofsted inspector.. Me: “Now we’re going to wash our hands before we make bread, and then we don’t put our clean fingers in our mouths, up our noses or in our ears”. Luke: “ Or down our trousers!” Male Ofsted inspector’s shoulders begin to shake. Just seen Luke’s mum at the funeral.

He used to meet me from school and we’d play darts in his garden. His dad complained about the holes in the shed and I commiserated about the woodworm. He tried not to smile and we always got on very well after that! He was a very dear f- in- law.

Morning S, morning all! My neighbour’s funeral this afternoon. I’m sad but realistic- she was 93 and lonely. Otherwise, quite a busy week- dentist and BBC’s ‘Any Questions’ in the village hall on Friday.

We’re born and bred- I can trace my family back to 1600s ( Tewks. ) and OH - Painswick area. We lived in beautiful Somerset before coming back about 40 years ago. Problem is, boys moved up north! 😔 You’ve had an interesting career!
