To those in Minneapolis - "We will not allow people to divide us by our race, our religion, by our class, or by any other thing, because we're Minnesotans and we care for one another, and dang nabit, we are going to show the rest of the country how to care for one another."

To those in Minneapolis - "If you need to cry, cry. If you want to protest, protest. As we stand together, greet your neighbor, love on one another. Do not be dismayed, do not be divided. We stand with you. We are neighbors. This injustice will not stand. It will not stand, it cannot stand."

As a Minneapolis parent, the past 24 hours have felt powerless. But today, I learned about Danielle—a fellow 8th grade parent—and her son Endre. Their story shifted something in me. For the first time, I felt like I could actually do something real to help. And you can too. gofund.me/861cbce8

🧨🎇🎆 If your cat gets spooked by loud noises, consider setting them up in a cozy, interior room with food, water and litter box before sunset tonight. Turn on a loud fan or white noise machine, and add some soothing music to help mask the sound of fireworks.

Perhaps one reason we are fascinated by cats is because such a small animal can contain so much independence, dignity, and freedom of spirit. Lloyd Alexander #caturdayeve
