Gave terrain building a try for my wedding table decor. I surprised myself I'm good at this. It's just environment art, I'm an environment artist. Though it's not like my normal pieces, I felt good having completed pieces.

One of my personal favorite pieces I've done. I went out on a lunch date with my now fiance to a Cracker Barrel down in FL. Outside the door they had this Coke machine I took several pictures, and when I got home I got to work. Everything seen here is 100% recreated from the actual machine there.

Left to become a dusty nic-nack i wanted to challenge myself with creating ln exact copy of the machine used for decoration. The bottles and box were an add on to help give the machine character.

What was a challenge for me at the time was getting the sun bleached paint damage to look right. The damage wasn't everywhere but primarily on the (abdomen?) Of the machine itself. The most fun I had though was incorporating the text the machine had that was damaged all over, notably the texts above the bottle opener and the push up vending door.

The texts shown on the machine itself were very worn out from rust and chipping paint. I used alpha maps to first add the signage and layer overlapped my rust layer on top of everything, I went back and erased some of the alpha stamp to help show the the aging and damage.

Wanted to test my skills with making rust, the bottom was particularly rusty so I did my best with getting the amount right in Substance Painter.
