In 2021 walkers were able to experience the #mininglandscape through a different lens artist Audrey Grant installed a series of temporary installations ‘Inscriptions in Arcadia’ commissioned by Forth Valley Art Beat now long gone but photographed so you can still view all of the images on the route.

A Lilly Controller takes pride of place in the newly refurbished cafe at the National Mining Museum Scotland, an automatic safety device invented by Cornish born William J Lilly, patented in 1915, it controlled the speed of the cage in the shaft #MiningHeritage #EngineeringHeritage #AllMetalMonday

Art works within the bing and marking the shaft for #AllMetalMonday at QE II Jubilee Park the repurposed site of the #Trefonen Old Colliery located south west of #Oswestry #Shropshire worked the southern end of the North Welsh coalfield from 1869 to 1880 (abandoned due to flooding).
