What a poetic time we had on Saturday on the Peter Ackroyd Thames Walk 2025. 28 pilgrims; 14km from Westminster to Rotherhithe; 8 pubs; and 170 million years of riverine history. And thanks to your marvellous generosity, @areamancm.bsky.social and I raised £1,215 for Trees for Cities and CF Trust.

I remember sitting jaw agape when the third episode unfolded the red room for the first time. The endless oil-and-water mix of exquisite beauty and dark, true weirdness permated his work. Once a week a group of friends gathered around the cathode ray with cheap red wine and homemade curry.
