I've been trying to play around with my style a bunch lately, particularly around trying to make sure my [human] voice comes through loudly and obviously. I want my sizefics to read like the way someone you love can shtank a bit, you know?

Sharing writing online just feels strange and stranger as the dying-mall feeling of the internet keys up and up. These scribbles feel liberating, and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to share something that's ultimately minimally-edited and to-be-continued but (hopefully) legible.

It's one reason centrist Dems are doubling down on transphobia; it's a shibboleth that could filter anti-capitalism out of their party. They'll take ICE over abolition, natalist tech oligarchy over real democracy, trillionaires over redistribution. No one is coming to save us except us.

This is the real project in front of us, and it's something that we can be distracted from when we emphasize/distinguish this admin as fascist. Ultimately, nothing happening right now is incompatible with capitalism, and class interest supercedes partisanship. A liberal electoral win is step zero.

As I come to the end of prepping my interview recordings for archiving, I've been reflecting a lot on the last two and a half years of exploring the size community, as a researcher and as a queer giantess who has found her pride. I posted this to Instagram a few weeks ago and meant every word of it.

Screenshot of Instagram story, featuring extensive text on a background of zine sheets yet to be folded. Text reads as follows:

On November 3rd, 2023, my life changed for good. I took a Zoom call with a polyamorous giant trans woman with a sadistic streak, and an omnisexual cis woman size-shifter who used her erotic fantasies to process her lived experiences of trauma and a rare neurological condition. I realised I had stumbled across experiences that had never been researched or documented before. But most importantly, I found a community of people *like me*.

I found my people. I found people I would travel halfway round the world for without even thinking about it. I found myself a Shrinking Doll for a sapphic sexual/romantic partner and a Silly Lil' Bug for a best friend.

I discovered a world of unashamed and unabashed creativity. I learnt how to overcome my shame, how to embrace my identity as a giant woman who found being a giant woman empowering, gender-euphoric, and sexy as hell, and do both those things with a queer and divergent sense of pride. I realised there are a *hell* of a lot of people out there who find me insatiably sexy. And I discovered there are even more people who love and care about me for me.

I don't know if anyone else outside of the size community is going to care that I did all this. But I want everyone to know that I have found the closest thing to found family I have ever managed to find through becoming part of this community. And I have collected our stories as a labour of love.

'Inches from Obsession' Available Now! A collab between @fontsize.bsky.social and me. Brief Summary in 'Alt Text' www.deviantart.com/nellielle2/a... #giantess #sizesky

A university for the best and brightest, two bright-eyed geniuses as reckless as they are smart, and a prototype shrink ray: the beginning of a bad joke or the key components to a fun, sensual, size story? We think the latter!

Thomas (Tom) Rayne and Atsui Takahashi are two top-of-their-class prodigies. The former has wandering eyes and a passion for matter manipulation, and the latter has a thing for nerds and a little bit of a superiority complex.

Previously acquaintances, having only worked together on group projects, they must reset their relationship under entirely new circumstances and get to know each other more deeply than they perhaps imagined. Inside and out, you could say.

And outta nowhere, before damage, sizey Magic. Honestly, this one's probably underplayed in edh. One mana, instant speed, and a plausibly big swing in a typal deck. There's a blog post somewhere in the density of depictions of solidarity and/or collective action so frequently featuring size art.

The Magic card Might of the Masses. G for an instant with:
Target creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn for each creature you control.
“There is nothing stronger than many hearts united for a single cause.”
—Emmara

Art by Alex Konstad depicts a colossal Selesnyan elf, clad in green armor bearing the sign of their guild. Their eyes are glowing, green magic swirls around them, and figures in the foreground as well as on the giant's shoulders are varyingly awestruck or reveling.

I don't give my announcements as much build up as Quinn does, but I said I would reveal our Secret Project™ today, so here it is! I am turning @bug-in-a-cage.bsky.social's size essays into a PHYSICAL BOOK printed + published by my own micropress, The 50-ft Press! Cover reveal below. Details in 🧵!

Mock-up of the front cover of a book titled 'Bug In A Cage: Five Essays + A Comedy Sketch on the Philosophy of Size Kink' by Quinn. The cover features an edited version of the 'Attack of the 50-ft Woman' (1958) poster, filtered in blue, covered in part with an upside-down yellow figure in the style of a men's toilet symbol exposing the original poster colours in the negative space it cuts out of the blue-filter.

Sizey Magic, ever onwards. Finally getting around to posting one of my favorite cards to come out in a looong while. Huge fan of aggro decks, especially monoblack. Almost exclusively go for graveyard plans. Love a goyf. And I'm extremely normal about these art pieces don't even worry about it.

The Magic card Moonshadow. One Black for a 7/7 Elemental creature with:

Menace

This creature enters with six -1/-1 counters on it.

Whenever one or more permanent cards are put into your graveyard from anywhere while this creature has a -1/-1 counter on it, remove a -1/-1 counter from this creature.

Full art by Mizugoromaru depicts an enormous, many-limbed creature, rearing up on their hindmost legs to ensnare a raven creature with a long, frog like tongue. The creature has clawed, reptilian feet on its central and hind legs, and a humanoid torso rising up from its front, like a dino/centipede-centaur. Their eyes glow yellow, matching stripes along the humanoid portion of the creature, and a natural hoodlike growth ends in a plume of swirling smoke.

It is almost the weekend, but it is already time for more sizey magic cards. I'm not one to play bounce decks, but it's an underrated removal option in edh and the card art is just incredible. We're likely to see a whole lot more Lorwyn/Shadowmoor here.

The Magic card Run Away Together. One and a Blue for an Instant with:

Choose two target creatures controlled by different players. Return those creatures to their owners’ hands.

“You don’t need to steal my dreams, my love. They are already yours.”

Art by Annie Stegg depicts a rimekin and a faerie, leaning in to kiss one another. The faerie is kneeling in the rimekin's cupped hands, their own hand tracing a line along the rimekin's mouth.

The Magic card Reprieve. 1W for an Instant with:

Return target spell to its owner’s hand.
Draw a card.

"It is our responsibility, as citizens of this world, to reach out with compassion to those who are suffering." -Margeau, Silverquill dean

Art by Alex Stone depicts a Black woman serenely napping in the spread hands of a vast, unseen being. Doves and stars encircle the inhumanly pale hands.

Posting sizey Magic cards daily til I don't. Twofer because this same card has two printings that absolutely rip despite fairly distinct feels. Original's great too, but not in our scope. The DMU armed-in-motion piece is unreal, but M13 best nails a monoW player passing combat with a 126/126.

The way a lot of blue state liberals will talk about other states can be so odious. As if these governments actually represent their constituents, and if - even if they did - that would justify abandoning each other. Inability to experience solidarity across a state line is embarrassing.
