Found another crack in my chicken fortress and a family of raccoons is taking full advantage. Lost another chicken. 😔 I ordered solar lights and a sound deterrent as well as reinforced the barrier of the chicken area. Hopefully everything holds and we don’t lose anymore.

My oldest chicken, Sassy, went to the rainbow bridge last night. 😔 This chicken had almost been here since the beginning of this farm journey. She came a year in. A random batch of chicks from the local feed store. Turned out to be a bright light in my life. I will miss her terribly.

Been having cute interactions at the cafe in the mornings at work. Early in the week a lady shyly came up to me and asked to wait by me. We had a nice little small-talk convo before her co-worker arrived. Should note there were plenty of open tables, but she wanted to wait with me for some reason.

I am baby. I have never had feet problems other than a blister from certain shoes here and there. Now I have an ongoing problem. Probably my work shoes/concrete floors. And the 10-12 hour shifts. I bought inserts. Seemed to work for a minute, but now? Pain daily. Guess I need a foot doc? 😩🤷🏻‍♀️
