I grew up on some great anime as a teen in the 2000s and discovered so much great stuff beyond the mainstream but man, what I would have given to have been a teen weeb in the 90s, watching Akira for the first time on BBC2 or staying up to watch 3x3 Eyes on Channel 4's Late Licence at 1:25am

Meet Backpack, your 2026 Fat Bear Week champion. Backpack is 20 years old, weighs about 1,000 pounds and got his nickname because, as a cub, he loved riding on his mom's back across the Brooks River.

It's such a fucking flashbang as a weeaboo (especially as an elder weeaboo who grew up on 2000s anime) to be seeing UK new articles using the term NEET in the present day Like gal, I think I learned that term from Lucky Star in like 2008

A little tip for artists from a recurring client: if you’re struggling to get commissions but have had done previous commissions before, don’t be afraid to post them! Repost them over again from time to time even! Usually past commissions is what will attract clients most of the time

I know some artists are afraid of posting them due to fear of your followers not liking, it flopping or you’re known for OC/fanart but past commissions is the best to get new clients Why is that? Because I’ll know what I’ll be getting in quality, art style, etc. I’ll what what to expect

Like sure fanart or oc can attract clients too but there are some artists that put effort into personal stuff and not as much into commissions… ofc that’s not always the case but some clients will only comm ya if you shown commission work

Fun fact! If you ignore the game, then click on the creator, go to their page, and hit the gear and ignore, it blocks them from your feed (some don't have pages). Second fun fact! It only takes ruffly 30 minutes to go through them all! store.steampowered.com/curator/4628...

The phrase usually goes “money changes people,” but more often “money reveals who people are.” Give Elon Elon a billion dollars, he pours gas on the fire of fascism. Give Dolly a billion dollars, she invests it in helping fill some of the holes in our social safety net.

Thank you all for the 6k. <3 I thought long and hard about what to do, but I decided to listen to my community and take care of myself, and go back to basics and have fun. Wanna join in on the fun? Read the image for more info. <3 🔄& 💖would be cool. Follows are nice, but not necessary. <3

A short comic strip about Naolin getting to 6k members.

The text says:

You’re all amazing. Thank you for liking my art. I can’t express how grateful I am for having such an amazing community who support me like you do.

I was planning on doing a raffle, but I have too many projects going on atm, and I know the majority of you would want me to take care of myself. That’s why, for this 6k, I just wanna go back to basics and do sketches of things that tickle my artist brain.

HERE’S HOW TO JOIN: JUST POST YOUR REF, SAY IF YOU PREFER SFW OR SPICY, SHARE AND LIKE THE POST! THIS IS NOT A RAFFLE, I JUST PICK A FEW TO SKETCH!

I became a Vtuber because I didn't want to be perceived as a flesh being and it meant I could show off my art and my OCs. All I ever wanted to do was share the things I love with multiple people and I've finally reached a point of comfort and purpose in that aspect.

Mina Virtua 💾🐻 (Digital Desktop Buddy) @minavirtua.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Honestly as someone who no longer takes part actively in the larger Vtuber space due to my social anxiety, trust issues and all that jazz, I'm happy just existing in my own little whimsical space If we gel then we gel but mostly I'm not putting myself out there because there's way too much drama
