Me, too. I'm also not a morning person. Many people aren't. I resent morning people deciding the schedule for the rest of us. People also don't realise just how early it would start getting light in summer if we were on standard time, which is before 3 am....and before my bedtime.

We have the money to solve this many times over. What we don't have is the political will or desire. I'm scared to think how may people they'll have to feed next year, and how close are we to the point we can't provide the meals to all who need them?

Honestly, I think it's a disgrace they had to serve that many. It's a sign of a failed system. The fact that so many need the mission is horrible. A country as rich as Canada claims to be should have no need, as everyone should be well fed, and well housed, and all other needs met.

The same people who don't want to fund transit are completely fine with Sutcliffe's bailout of Lansdowne. Half of them don't go down there anyway, and would rather watch the CFL on tv in their suburban homes. You are right, though, and a lot of people have been protesting the bailout.

I know that American television channels also won't show it, I believe there is a law in both countries where you can not show an actual death (fictional is different) on tv. I don't understand why anyone would want to see that anyway.

This really is a case of first world problems. When we saw this on the news last night, my wife said she would gladly have taken what was offered in exchange. When you travel, there are always risks, whether it's climate change, political or something else. Must be really nice to afford a cruise.
