sitting in a waiting room this morning while my partner had a 6 hour long cancer removal surgery when I saw the news that the insurance CEO was shot. Im paying out of pocket because the best alternative for us is partial coverage @ 1000 a month with a 15000 deductible. Anyway heres a unrelated comic

Sick guy: I THINK I MIGHT NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR.. LEMME CONSULT THE FLOWCHART...
Flowchart: "SHOULD I GO TO THE DOCTOR (OR DENTIST)
*A single arrow points to another card*
"IT IS TOO LATE FOR YOU
USE YOUR FINAL DAYS TO TERRORIZE AND ELIMINATE HEALTH EXECUTIVES TO ENACT REAL CHANGE"
*sick guy, dressed like Rambo*: cough cough

made 2 bug tier lists!!! i like most bugs (tbh the only one i really hate is mosquitos), but i do be biased. i got personal beef w cave crickets specifically, but bc it's lumped in to "cricket" i got no choice

SERIOUSLY!! I checked the weather this morning and I'm hoping that 70% chance of rain actually happens. I stepped outside this morning and instantly could smell the wildfires, the grass is all dead and it's just so depressing.

I've only read his short stories :( only a few from Night Shift. Lawnmower Man, Gray Matter, and Quitters Inc. are the 3 I remember the most. I should really grab a copy of the collection, bc I only read it in middle school when it was given to me as a distraction after a test!

I lieeeed, I'm gonna wait for all of me specimens to dry (~2 days for the spreads), THEN I'll try to get some nicer pics of em! :D

000

3rd one is a Rove beetle :) one of my favorite kinds of beetles!!!!!! The rest from tonight aren’t gonna be high effort ones bc I need to eat dinner still B^) #entomology #beetle #staphylinidae #rovebeetles

Second one is a Red Headed Bush Cricket! I can’t uh. Figure out how to get a good pic of it while it’s pinned out like this.., #entomology #orthoptera

First one - something in the Erebidae family! I think! I found it already dead and decomposing which is why it’s so beat up. Its leg fell off as soon as I pinned it, but I think I did a pretty good job gluing it on! #entomology #erebidae

I’m gonna post me specimens as I get to em tonight! “Busy” night of pinning and maybe spreading! :)
