I like your thought process though. The sentiment of vox's pitch should make sense to anyone who values friendship. But does alastor value it? And value it enough to agree to a business partnership? Vox is selling to alastor, not the average viewer Thats why i think its cute but still a bad pitch

Yeah but publicly hanging out with others doesnt automatically mean connection is a strong enough reason to sell alastor on the idea My guess is that vox negotiated based on what he values most himself. He says its in al's best interest, but gives alastor no relevant enough reason to him to agree

When youre negotiating with someone, at least in my experience. You want to get to know that person and see what they care about, what their concerns, limits, goals, dreams are. What you guys both value. And use that to naturally guide the conversation and properly sell the idea to them.
