Alternatively, AIPAC isn't particularly influential, it piles on in races where candidates are seriously flawed and then claims the win. Jewish donors are not puppet masters. Perhaps Dem leaders believe Israel is an important security and political ally and support the idea of a secure Jewish state.

You understand that Hezbollah began firing missiles from with inside Lebanon, toward Lebanon's sovereign neighbors, Israel? Which precipitated Israel's campaign contra Hezbollah. If we allowed a terrorist group to bomb Canada/Mexico from US territory, both countries would have a right to respond.

Hezbollah holds cabinet positions in the Lebanese government. Not as many as in the early 2020s but it is part of the government, which allows or tolerates its missile strikes at Israel. That Iran uses paramilitary and political proxies to attack Israel from Gaza and Lebanon is incontrovertible.
