Three weeks ago, I lost my cat Maui. Today we picked up his ashes and paw prints so I was able to make him a memorial. I miss him dearly. He was a good cat. The best boy. Hug your kitties for me.

Mais même si c'était blanc / une colombe, maintenant les représentations d'animaux ne sont plus autorisées à l'école parce qu'une religion l'utilise aussi comme symbole ? Si c'était une colombe sur une croix, d'accord, mais juste une colombe... ?

MAIS même si c'était une colombe, si c'est juste un piaf, ça me paraît perché de considérer ça comme un signe religieux interdit à l'école ?! (Quant à la confusion, plein de gens pensent que mon collier représente un truc catho, alors que c'est... le signe du Gémeaux 🤷‍♀️)

17- What's the saddest thing you've ever written? Maybe the ending of The Color of Time? It's a good ending technically, but the good stuff isn't spelled out on page, so it's very bittersweet and several people said they cried reading it, so I guess this is it!

16- Do you enjoy editing? I actually do! It's not always easy, but the feeling of accomplishment, of making the manuscript better... I look forward to being done with drafting so I can edit! Ngl sometimes edit letters feel overwhelming, but it's worth doing the work.

15- Do you have a favorite of your writing projects? I only work on one WIP at a time, but I'm very excited about the next one -- a sci-fi horror set on an empty generation ship 👀

14- What's your favorite part of your current WIP? Hesitating between all the politics going on and the concept/worldbuilding... Both I guess!

13- What drives you to write? I've always loved reading and wanted to create my own stories and worlds. And since I started, I can't stop for too long before feeling that itch to go back in front of my computer and create. I can't really explain it. I feel that *need* to create something.

I'm a Pokémon fan but tbh the best Pokémon games are the Monster Hunter Stories games 😂 (which are, obviously, not part of the Pokémon franchise, but the fights and mechanics are so much better!)

9- What are your favorite themes? Honestly? I don't have a favorite, or favorites. I like to explore many themes in my writing. It's not impossible that my readers may identify common themes or underlying messages across my books, but it's not intentional.

8- Where do your ideas come from? Dreams, other books, or random ideas/prompts. One time the idea for a novelette came from my phone's autocomplete feature (proof in quote 😀). Said novelette is Moon Dust, a sci-fi thriller available for free to my newsletter subscribers ☺️

7- What's your least favorite part of writing? Getting started. I usually have ideas for my next WIPs a long time before I start writing them (often because I'm already working on something else). When comes the time to start brainstorming/outlining (aka working on it for real)... I drag my feet 😅
