Green Lantern (2011) Given he's by far the worst part of this movie I don't think Ryan Reynolds should be allowed to say anything about the quality of the film. The suit looks dumb why is it all gradients. Why does Sinestro's look fine. This movie is like 4 it would be a 6 or 7 if Ryan wasn't there

I have nothing else to say for the alt text folks this time it just blows, thank god Lanterns the show exists now

Spider-Noir (2026) I can't believe this show got cancelled, genuinely excellent character work, it was good to have a kind of back to basics Spider-Man for a while even if it was short lived. Nick Cage loves this character and it really shows in his performance. The best way to watch is B&W.

Black and white is the best way to watch this show but the colour pops so much that I totally get watching it in colour

Just like they did then, we need to push these people out of the fanbase, this very shit why this screen is shown before every show. PLUR as always.

Alien Metal really wasn't bad but it isn't a very good representation of the genres its doing which is really a let down given what King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is usually good at, it just makes me want to listen to better breakbeat rave/breakbeat hardcore kinda stuff. it's like a 6/10 I fear.

This is my King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Tierlist if there's some kind of skip function on your auto reader this is pretty long description so feel free to.

The Best: Polygondwanaland, Laminated Denim, Murder of the Universe

Tier 1: I'm in Your Mind Fuzz, Sketches of Brunswick East, Chunky Shrapnel, Omnium Gatherum, Fishing For Fishies, Nonagon Infinity, Changes, and PetroDragonic Apocalypse

Tier 2: The Silver Cord (extended), Quarters!, Gumboot Soup, K.G.L.W. , Ice Death Planets Lungs Mushrooms & Lava, Infest The Rats Nest, Butterfly 3000 and Eyes Like The Sky.

Tier 3: Flying Microtonal Banana, Phantom Island, Float Along/Fill Your Lungs, Paper Mache Dream Balloon, Flight B741, Made in Timeland, 12 Bar Bruise.

Final Tier: Alien Metal, Oddments, Willoughby's Beach, Mango Sticky Rice.

Overall you can kind of get a vibe for how its constructed because frankly the worst of these is only a 5/10 which is perfectly average. It makes me sad when they air closer to that because most of the time I feel they really excel one way or another at each genre they dip their arms into. Maybe a cleaner Psych rock revisit could be in order, or a bash at French House, but overall I really just want something wholly new next after it seems projects have kind of been stuck in 2 modes for the band "classic rock" and "heavy electronic experimentation"

The cover for alien metal, 3D modelled, printed and hand painted by Jason Galea (JJ Cool Juice) it's this strange little transparent head of a melted lobster thing with a small alien in the forehead piloting it. I think I prefer the version with red eyes as opposed to black eyes that is used in the music visualizers.

The Green Goblin's Last Stand (1992) As a fan of classic Doctor Who I have become resistant to being too harsh on things with particularly low budgets and this was basically the passion project of a few people who really liked Spider-man it's super sincere and is a genuinely great watch.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) so like 8/10 but I also don't like a lot of the choices the movie makes bc I prefer Spider-man being in his own corner of the universe most of the time. It's still great and well put together though.

Supergirl (2026) Definitely one of the movies ever, not nearly as good as Superman, but still decent. It definitely relied on tropes more than Superman.

The Backrooms (2022-2026...?) Marvin, Peter & Mark have the worst time at work ever. Phil's clearly not doing great either re: the movie. Working at ASync fucking blows. Although unrelated to the Peter Tench story Found Footage #3 is a fucking masterpiece of video editing that ends so beautifully.

backrooms (2026) I think people who didn't like this movie either don't understand that this is specifically set in Kane Parsons' series universe or lack a certain level of abstract thought because this movie is absolutely fascinating and having seen the webseries only enriches the experience.

Fallout [Season 2] (2025-2026) This show is way better than people give it credit for and I think it deserves a lot more love. (spoilers in alt text)

I get why people are mad they destroyed the New Vegas locations but people miss that you're supposed to be mad about it, you're supposed to be grieving and getting angry at the antagonists who did it. I think it's actually really well done and makes sense as a New Vegas followup especially since a bit of the conceit of the original game was that all of these factions were deeply flawed and could crumble and collapse at any moment.

Doom (2016) This one was fun but sometimes playing it made me feel like that one stupid political cartoon and I start cracking tf up. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought but I got lost like a dumbass a few times.

Minecraft [Modded] (2008) Had my Minecraft phase & played on a server, I built a lighthouse at the coast near spawn and knocked down a hill to make a path to it, super fun. A friend on the server did the spinning lamp redstone

a path leading from the center of the spawnpoint of the server to my lighthouse base.

LSD: Dream Emulator (1998)/(2011) This always mesmerized me as a kid, and it still does now, I didn't "complete" it but you don't really play this to reach the "ending" I feel. Meeting the Hatman in this is like meeting a celebrity. I played the fan revamped version for ease of access.

A screenshot of the Hatman in the violence district, with what I believe to be the "Dynamic" dream textures.

I gotta say I really enjoyed the additional dreams added by the revamped version its a real treat, I'll keep playing this on and off for a while I think.

Pokemon Legends Arceus (2022) This is what I imagined Pokemon being like when I was a kid playing Sapphire. However Arceus couldn't have picked a worse person to "seek out all pokemon" I have never completed the Pokedex in ANY of these games. Let alone this one where doing that is harder.

The story ending screen, this game rules really hard.

Pluribus [Season 1] (2025) A super fascinating sci-fi concept that I'm excited to see explored further. I can't say much without spoilers but, I love the extremely deep themes of the show, they resonate hard as a queer person living life in the past few years. Bravo Vince.

A scene from Pluribus, the last 2 people with any sense at all on Earth speaking to eachother. Bless em.

Stranger Things 5 (2025) Well the 1st half is cromulent enough the second half gets stupid really fast imo. Too many characters, and too many reveals that could have been paced throughout the other FOUR seasons. This makes the season feel like its catching up with its own plot in a bizarre way.

Stranger Things 5 (2025)

a poster with vecna in the red sky above the main character kids on their bikes.

Going to say here also the upside down lore reveals in this season were probably also planned since they had a document explaining how the upside down works from season 1, so these reveals absolutely could have been paced better, its nuts.

I think Jockington being in the Deltarune prophecy is funny bc Jesus is also just "The coolest guy to ever exist, he's awesome and nice and everybody loves him" but like if I didn't know that was a depiction of the messiah I'd say "Oh yeah I met that guy at a concert in 2023 he's chill af."
