Thank you. That's exactly my point.

And again, some folks are very into AI art. You don't get to decide what sort of content people enjoy.

Jesus, you're relentless in talking for everyone, aren't you? Some people do care about AI generated content. Some people are even enthusiastic about it. Literally every possible thing in the entire world has its fans. Just because YOU don't care about AI content, doesn't mean no one does 🤦‍♂️

although I highly doubt any argument can reach you, because thus far you've demonstrated nothing but pure fanatism and denial to accept any other point of view than your own.

on my own. It took me YEARS to understand that people enjoy the process of having sex while all I care about is the post-orgasm satisfaction which I can achieve quickly and efficiently without the lenghty process. It’s the same for me with writing. I hope that clarifies things for you+

long I have left until the end when I can finally add the movie to my list. THAT’S the part I care about, THAT’S what gives me joy. Not the long, annoying process of watching the movie. I literally gave up sex because it too way too long when I have trained myself to finish in less than 10 minutes+

Again with the "everyone who disagrees with me is a troll" line while these is literally how my brain works. You really can’t see other people’s point of view, huh? Idk how to explain this to you other than: I find watching movies tedious and I always leave the progress bar visible to see how+

Like, there are people who literally enjoy eating fesces, for example. And who are we to tell them they are objectively wrong? Anyone is free to enjoy whatever they feel like. Expecting everyone to hate AI generated content is delusional.

You literally said only content generated by someone who enjoys the writing process is of any worth to anyone who doesn’t have a preexisting connection to the creator. Which is untrue, plain and simple. People do enjoy all sorts of things. Not the majority, but some people.

And that's your right. I avoid AI "art" as well. But other people don't and they have every right to enjoy products of AI. There isn't one correct way to consume culture.

Yes, and that statement is completely delusional because you have no way of knowing what worth does such writing hold for people. Some people will enjoy things created by artists who hate the process. Some people will even enjoy AI-generated art. Worth is in the eye of the beholder.

"It makes your work worthless to anyone not already invested in you in some way." You literally said that since my brain finds the process a boring necessity my work is worthless to anyone who doesn't already know me. If that isn't saying that my way is incorrect, I don't know what that is.

Also, I don't think it's particularly strange to assume you agree with a meme you posted. Come on now.

You can hold any opinion you like, no one is stopping you. But you are seriously delusional if you believe everyone shares your point of view, as you seem to think since you talk with great confidence about the worth people assign to works of art.

I'm not upset. I'm fascinated with the power of your conviction when you apparently deem yourself the judge of what is and isn't real art and what the audience is and isn't allowed to enjoy or assign worth to.

Several people isn't everyone, man. Even the greatest majority possible isn't everyone. You seem to be convinced you know the only correct answer which is borderline delusional. Artists have different processes. Always have and always will. It's not up to you to decide which of those are "correct".

Btw, I'm fascinated with your inability to even acknowledge that people can have varied opinions about this. Seriously. Like, who are you to tell other people what is or isn't worthless to them? You only get to decide that for yourself and no one else.

I think all the people commenting on my stories and telling me they enjoy my writing would disagree. Because newsflash: the readers have no way of knowing what I was thinking when I was writing those stories. They may notice the effort I put in, but they'll never know how I felt about the process.

No, what I'm arguing for is an acknowledgement that "the journey is in itself the goal" mentality doesn't work for everyone and you're projecting your assumptions about what kind of person I must be to be holding the beliefs I hold.

Milien the Gremlin @milienthegremlin.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
You think that I didn't? It's literally just how my brain works: the process is a tedious necessary evil and the goal is the only thing that really matters. That's how my brain is wired and there's no changing that. So, does that make my art less valuable if all I care about is the end-product?

Milien the Gremlin @milienthegremlin.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
So you just automatically assume that everyone who disagrees with you on how great the creative process is is just an oblivious and entitled AI devotee unaware that no one owes them anything?

And I'd like to point out that you didn't answer my question to any extent.

Man, I actually get scientifically measurable anxiety and depression over the writing process, including instances where I needed a medical intervention for the sake of my mental health. So I would appreciate if you didn't police the way I talk about my own personal experience, thank you veey much.

Wow, what a super condescending thing to say.

Milien the Gremlin @milienthegremlin.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
I'm just curious, philosophically. If two people put the exact same amount of time and effort into making art, but one of them cares about the process and the other cares about the end-goal, is the end-product of one of these endeavours automatically worth less because the creator hated the process?
100
Milien the Gremlin @milienthegremlin.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
I literally never said that they should. I'm not expecting anyone except me to care about anything I do, regardless of how much effort I put into it, because no one owes me any interest in anything I do. Never has and never will.

Milien the Gremlin @milienthegremlin.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Are you saying that this is somehow a wrong way to be an artist? Because for me the process is always only ever means to an end in literally every single aspect of my life and I'm curious what your opinion about this is.

Same with everything else. I enjoy adding a watched movie to my list more than the process of watching the movie. I even have an app to track my jigsaw puzzle progress and I wouldn’t do any jigsaws without it. That’s literally how my brain makes dopamine.

Honest question: what if someone is purely goal-oriented? Like, I don't really enjoy the action of playing video games, I enjoy the state of having all achievements unlocked for a game. I don’t enjoy the writing process, I enjoy the state of having my story written.
